Kirby Battle Royale Review - Do not blow away
After the success of Hyrule Warriors, it seems that Nintendo wants to provide all its franchises with a battle variant. So also Kirby. The pink cheered who usually fights mainly by sucking up his enemies, must in this game especially have his sword fighting skills. The result is a little surprising spin-off that gives little satisfaction.
The main reason that this game hardly impresses is that it contains only a collection of mini games. There is one in which you have to hit Whispy Woods to drop apples on the ground, which you have to pick up and throw in a box to finally pull a lever and let them disappear. One of the most entertaining mini games is Attack Riders, where you should not only steal your enemies, but you have to drive vehicles over them. Of course, that sounds a lot more GTA than that, but nevertheless it's a minigame that can break a fierce league against the computer or other players.
Cake Royale
There are several modes to choose, including the story mode, but even those who can not hide that all of these are small games without a greater goal. The story is begun on purpose, with Kirby visiting King Dedede at his Cake Royale party. Kirby can win a big cake but is shocked when he finds that Dedede has made a machine to clone Kirby and to beat him with those clones once and for all.
It's up to you to fight Kirby in that story mode against all those handbags, but after a couple of hours, that fight has once again fought. It's not a very extensive story mode, but that's a good choice: the variety of mini games is funny, but fighting itself is repeating. The longer the story mode, the more he was bored. That is also due to the far too low level of difficulty. Never gives the game a real challenge, which makes it all boring.
No suction force
The biggest lack of Battle Royale is and continues to suck the enemies. Kirby is not named for a vacuum cleaner: his ability to beat enemies and take over their skills is what makes Kirby different than other gameplayers. In Battle Royale, the pink ball with feet is therefore highly interchangeable. It could just as well be Link or even a Rabbid.
The only plausible reason Kirby's suction power is lost is that the cool upgrade system has not seen the life light otherwise - that lack is also completely unexplained. The upgrade system gives you new skills, which allows you to redeem your sword for a spear. You also get spheres that will make you better temporarily, which makes the game a bit surprising. However, you'll earn those upgrades almost by yourself: If you walk through the storyline, you've spelled them together, but it's nice that Kirby is more than just a sword to swing around.
If you have completed the solo game, you can switch to the multiplayer mode - which also has several problems. This is generally not very busy, making it hard to find a pot to connect you. In addition, it's technically not as strong as we are used to multiplayer experiences on Nintendo consoles. Strange, what the game looks like is something special about its multiplayer - you've released all those skills and you're ready to fight, but the technical hesitations and the absence of opponents belive that fight.

Conclusion
It will be cool for Kirby to take a trip to another game genre and not have to take a sip, but he'll be better off in a more solid game like Super Smash Bros. Battle Royale is a game that is entertaining at the beginning, but it soon becomes clear that this is only a little challenging repetition exercise.
➕ Upgrade system is well connected
➕ Diversity minigames are fine
➖ Kirby's main feature is taken without explanation
➖ Too often perform the same actions
➖ Multiplayer experience is not stable
