Game Review: Telltale Batman Season 2 Episode 2 Review - The Pact
Telltale goes like a spear. In the landscape of narrative game, the developer is no longer thinking. And after a successful first season of Batman, season 2 is already on full swing. In this Telltale Batman Season 2 Episode 2 review you will read more about Bruce Wayne's fascinating life.
Without spoiling it happened in the first episode of everything! It was undoubtedly a rollercoaster ride full of emotions and an event that many players got scared of. Gotham City is not a city in which you can walk calmly without anything happening. That's how Batman has experienced. Telltale Batman Season 2 Episode 2 The Pact addresses all events, including the choices that players have made.
Practice makes perfect
Because that is where Telltale is good; telling narrative game games to let people go into fascinating dialogues in which choices can then be made. And all those choices determine the course of the story. In episode 1 it was especially: cautious or naughty Batman. In episode 2, this is also the case, although it is honest to say that this is the most sleepy Batman episode that Telltale knows.
The most exciting piece is right in the first part of the episode in which Batman is in the eye of the villain Bane. What follows is a fight and that action to enjoy. But actually cut the episode afterwards. Bruce is forced to find out which criminals are all in the pact, hence the title, but what follows is Sai with uppercases.
Pathogens
A little bit of keypad to get Bane to talk is not exciting and the conversation between The Joker is not of the level of Telltale that we are used to. And even later in the episode if research has to be done and Bruce talks with Regina, you almost fall asleep.
This is the weakness of episodes in parts, as it is clear to us that this is part of a gameplay that belongs to more fun moments. A bit similar to the Game of Thrones TV series, sometimes giving you an episode of action and cool twists, to think one week later: was that all where we go?
Well, exactly that feeling you get now in this second episode and that's a shame. It does not matter that everything is sleepy. It's interesting that Harley Quinn is coming to an end and by the end there are fun action-packed moments, and you're sure to be well in the next episode. At least we go out of that.
Telltale Batman Season 2 Episode 2 Review - Leave a bad taste
But honesty means to say that this episode does not have much to do to report some positives. Certainly after the tasteful first episode you will come from a cold fair. Where are good puzzles?
Or where were the good dialogues? Where was the humor? Let's assume that episode 3 will remove this waning flavor. Fingers crossed!
The plus and the drawbacks
✔ Eye in eye with lanes
✖ Most boring episode
✖ Little puzzles
✖ Inspirational dialogue
Thanks for reading, I hope you liked it!
