The Deus Ex Experience!
I've gotten back into playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution in the past week or so... mainly because I've had more time to be able to spend on my gaming rig up in the attic. My wife had a really busy last few weeks, so I had less time to do gaming and more time with the kids... and in the evening, I would have to stay on the same level (just in case...), so that meant that I was using the laptop more...
Anyway, it took me a little bit to get back into the groove of things... remembering the controls and stuff like that.... but then I got back into the rhythm of things.
However, this is probably the quintessential experience of most players of Deus Ex... sneaking around, knocking out (I'm a nice guy, I try not to kill people!) opponents and innocent civilians one by one. Which leads to a problem of where to store the Sleeping Beauties. It is pretty dangerous to leave bodies strewn all over the level... as the wandering patrols might find them and set off an alarm.... which means you find a stairwell somewhere or a cleared room where you can start dumping the sleeping people.
In the above screenshot, I was starting to make a pile of policemen in riot/combat gear... You are dragging them from where you "found" them, through levels until you find a safe spot to stack the sleepers.
Here is a nice pile of Aug soldiers that I tucked away under staircase, behind some crates... doesn't look very comfortable, they will probably have cricks in their necks when they wake up!... but it is at least better accommodation than the pile that I started in a venting duct.
... and here is the most luxurious pile of sleepers. I found a relatively largish room, and I just dumped them in. At least in this pile, they aren't stacked on top of each other!... but perhaps I should have put some effort in to put them in the couches and armchairs...
I really wonder what they think when they all start waking up in a pile of limbs... perhaps a drunken night out gone wrong?

The graphics looks awesome. I am planning to get a gaming pc hopefully this year. Might give this a go. There are so many titles I have been meaning to play.
It is pretty decent... Good luck with gaming pc, these days the power vs price is pretty damn good!
Someone somewhere is reinstalling Deus Ex right now.
Ha ha... Building piles of sleepers is pretty fun. The story does pretty confusing though!
This is quite different from the instrument you usually play ;-)

Ha ha... Yes, a different scenery is a relaxing change!
I do know that feeling of returning to an old game and feeling like you have forgotten how to even walk as you press the wrong keys. Sometimes I’ll be playing a couple different games and can’t even get the correct movement keys used. Trying use arrows on one and w keys on another lol.
I was never much for sneaking around in a game. I always come into a new area loud attracting the attention of every NPC there is hehe.
Yep, normally most of the basic things are rebound... But there are always specific bindings that take a moment of thinking! I'm terrible with controllers for that...
This game is by Square Enix, right? Being a Final Fantasy fan, I've always been curious about the company's other offshoots. This game sounds like Hitman; I remember my cousin would take down someone, steal their uniform, and then hide the unconscious body somewhere only for it to discovered by a patrol later.
It's not originally by SE, but they publish the more recent games and also own the studio that developed them. It's not quite in the same genre as Hitman. There's less impersonation–though there's more direct combat if you want it and a social aspect where you can talk to people–but it does feel similar in terms of having a lot of opportunities to explore broadly and figure out deep backstories of the characters and places you encounter.
Ah... this was the original multiple paths game... way way way back at the dawn of PC gaming!
Classical musician by day, mad though gentle gamer by night. What an interesting combination
He he... Although, the day might is the other way around normally!
