Fungi Friday: tell me what do you see
Hello today, my friends!
Welcome to Imaginarium...
Look what I brought from my recent journey. This amazing creature looks like a tiny house in the grass. Just turn on your imagination, and you'll see the fairy tale cottage, or toy house. How this story will go on, depends on you. Can you wake up your inner child? 😄
Just stop, and breeze, and listen. What do you hear? Waving of grass, or a sound of wind? Or this is Invisibles watching you and whispering?
Who are its tenants? Butterfly or a bumblebee, or probably a mouse? They were everywhere in a long grass of the nice flowering meadow.
I try to be serious: this is probably an eatable mushroom, but I cannot proove that coz none wanted to try it...
Oh, and these shots are for @ewkaw and het fun #FungiFriday challenge 😊
Thank you so much for a visit!

Great post zirochka! I love how you encourage us to use our imagination. Whenever i travel, hike or any other outdoor active, sometimes i like to invoke my inner child and invent story's of adventurer into long and forgotten realms, riddled with myth and magic. Just wanted to ask is the mushroom a Morel?
You are quite right, it is a Morel! I read about it, it is eadable, and considered a delicacy! I'd like to try them at least once in my life :)
Thank you so much for a visit and your nice words. I hope you have a nice time over weekend!

That is a morel - a choice edible. :)
Nothing else (in spring) looks like it. In fall, the false morel can be a little bit of a trickster, but only if you're not familiar with the real thing. Get familiar with this one!
Wow, you know its name! I should read about morel. It is a real luck that someone recognized it and write me ❤
How great you visited my post 🌞 Have a nice day!

Thank you so much.
Yes, definitely read about it! I have harvested wild morels before - definitely tasty! These ones look a little dry, but they'd still be yummy. But yes, read up. It's important to know what's edible in your region - as well as what mimics them. You must be 100% certain of identity before you try it - and even then, try only a little bit the first time, to make sure it agrees with you.
I've only tried the easy ones myself, but over a dozen species now!
The place where I took a photo is State reserve, and it is forbidden to gather anything there at all.
And you were right, I googled and it is an interesting reading. And they are really first spring mushrooms. Thank you once again 👍🙂

Wow nice specimen looks pretty big too.

Yes, it is big and rather old, because no one touch them here 😁

I would still harvest and eat it. Just boil it a bit.

Of course, but I didn't dare as it us a State Natural Reserve, and it is forbidden to pick even a leaf there

Wow thats strict, here in illinois it is ok to forage in state parks same in wisconsin. Some privately owned parks don't allow it though.
