These are the things every project proposal should have

Here we go again, another helpful educational post for all of you who wish to upgrade your proposal building skills. Today we will go over the key things that your project proposal on fundition.io must have. Put your thinking cap on and concentrate, these are the things you should remember and always keep in mind.

Before even starting with your project proposal, put some things on a piece of paper. You should know what your project is about, the goal you wish to achieve, and the funds needed to achieve it. Write down the question words what, why, who, where, when, how, how much... each in its separate line and try to answer them. When you have all the answers, you are ready to start with your project proposal. That plan will not only help you organize your thoughts but also keep you from forgetting crucial information.

A good title is a chance to make your first impression to potential Backers. It should be specific to your project, memorable and appealing to a broader audience. When it comes to psychology, shorter titles are easier to remember, understand, and relate to. Another thing you should keep in mind is that people respond to question marks, numbers, and statements that are involving. Here are some examples for a made up project about saving the rainforests.

When thinking about your title, try to put yourself in the mindset of a reader. Would the title attract you? Would it make you want to support the project? You can also help yourself by doing some research and finding similar projects to see what kind of titles they had. We are not suggesting you should copy them but rather, use them as inspiration and comparison. When you do come up with the title, compare it to others and see if it is average, good or excellent. Of course, always aim for excellence and adapt to achieve it. When it comes to tags, use those that are connected with your project.

Here comes the most important part. Once the reader found your title interesting and landed on your project proposal, it is time for some description. This should be done with the upmost quality regarding grammar with help from images and videos so the overall visual looks attractive. Imagine that you are the one being presented with the project proposal. What would you want to read? If someone was telling you about it, what would be the things you would want to hear?

Make a little introduction and tell us why are you creating this project. In our example with the rainforest you could talk about why rainforests are important, how do we benefit from them and what condition are they in right now. Create a sense of problem to which you have the solution and then present that solution. You should also present yourself, provide some feedback and info about your credibility. Add social links connected to yourself and/or the project if you have them.

EXPLAIN WHAT AND HOW
THE PROJECT IS GOING TO DO

Explain what your project aims to do and in what way. Tell us about your goals and a mission you have. Try to write about why people should donate to your project, why is it important? This is where your previous preparation, with those questions you wrote on a piece of paper, will help. When it comes to funds, a budget is always nice to see and if you can list the things you need in a table, it will be visually easy to understand.

If you need any help with your description and how to present your project in the best possible light, check out the previously written educational posts that will be at the end of this one or contact us on our discord. We will be glad to provide some guidance and help. Your description should be interesting to read, have photos and videos, attractive, and making people want to tell their family and friends. You should aim and hope that people will talk about your project and not only support it but promote it too.

After title, tags, and description, goals are the last thing that your project MUST have. When you click on add goal, you can enter a title, description and amount for your goal. You can add more than one goal. With multiple goals, the next one will be automatically shown when the previous one is completed. This should help you stay realistic.

A couple of smaller goals
is better than one huge one

You should understand one thing about people, there is a greater chance they will help if they feel their help will make a difference. When a person sees a huge goal it may discourage her because there is always a thought about the goal being unrealistic. If you set a smaller goal, the probability of you achieving it is much greater. Try to break up the funds you need in more phases with more than one goal. You will more easily gather the funds you need if they are collected in steps, with a couple of smaller goals than you will with one goal set to a large amount.

We have covered the things that are mandatory for your project proposal. Everything else, like Collaborators, Beneficiaries, and Rewards is optional. We do suggest that you use those features too because they will help you. We have already talked about collaboration in one of our previous educational post and we will cover the rest in the future. Until then, read what we have prepared for you so far and visit us on our discord server.
