A Favorite Freewrite Poem
Recommend Freewrite Poetry is now a weekly event at the Freewrite House.
So many of you are gifted poets and sometimes, we don’t find all the wonderful poems. As always, all of us together are going to be so much better. We see more poems and all of us have different tastes and opinions. We like to hear them!
Win, Win, Win!!!
You Tell Us about your favorite Freewrite Poem for a Chance to Win Memberships in Steem Basic Income.

https://steemit.com/freewrite/@starzy/day-288-5-minute-freewrite-friday-prompt-coffee
Today I would like to feature @starzy's little poem on the prompt coffee. Sounded like @starzy may have been addicted to coffee once she tried it, then realized she needed to slowly cut back her consumption. That's what I need to do about my food consumption, cut back. 🍔 Great job @starzy 👌

I've had it in my mind since I read it that this was the one to submit! I dunno if @eroticabian has read it yet, but I'll bet she'd like it. It's just good fun and funny and also epitomizes what can happen during a freewrite. Is this 50 words yet?
I'll have to give it a look!
1 @improv
I would like to nominate @michellpiala this week for this poem: https://steemit.com/freewritepoetrydigest/@michellpiala/stares-that-burns-glares-turned-into-voices
Its thoughtful, and creates an emotional response, and while it comes across as very personal, the message is one that I can certainly relate to. My message to the author would be to keep being different, embrace it and someone one day will come along to add the colour. In the mean time, don't worry about what anyone thinks of you, they are probably just as worried about what people think of them.
2 @jk6276
Thank you @jk6276! it was truly kind of you.
I have two to nominate. @jk6276 wrote his first poem and you would never know it unless he told you, like he did at the end. If you want to know how John and his wife met, you can read all about it in poetic form. "An Ode to Coffee" will hopefully lead to more poems.

@michellpiala tugged my heart strings. She wrote what it feels like to be taunted with stares. All she wants is for someone to actually see the beauty from inside and out, and to be loved unconditionally for all that she is. Everyone needs to look inside each person if they ever want to find their true beauty.

4 @whatisnew
Thank you @whatisnew! thank you for encouraging. Much love!
I've been reading a lot of free write poems lately and all are beautiful in its own way. But of all my heart was disarmed by the poem of @jk6276, https://steemit.com/freewrite/@jk6276/day-288-5-minute-freewrite-friday---prompt-coffee-my-freewrite-24—its hard for me to believe that it was his first time, but come to think of it, if you're writing about someone you love it will definitely work wonders. Not a fan of romance but this made my heart melt. Makes me believe and Gives me hope of finding love.
