Stares That Burns, Glares Turned Into Voices
In a way that it burns and I almost couldn't bear;
In slo-mo, their glares turned into voices lingering in the air,
Telling me, 'she's better dead'—'pitiful'— 'she's designed to scare.'
I tried to reach out but there eyes are full of prejudice;
There's a force that keeps me at a black, vast abyss,
Why was I born? Just to endure all of these?
But I am still waiting for that one special day;
Where I'll meet someone who'll bring colors and would say,
"She is different, I love her and I want her to stay."
“Part of the problem with the word 'disabilities' is that it immediately suggests an inability to see or hear or walk or do other things that many of us take for granted. But what of people who can't feel? Or talk about their feelings? Or manage their feelings in constructive ways? What of people who aren't able to form close and strong relationships? And people who cannot find fulfillment in their lives, or those who have lost hope, who live in disappointment and bitterness and find in life no joy, no love? These, it seems to me, are the real disabilities.” ― Fred Rogers

Nice poetry. Goodluck : )

Thank you.
This is ❤. I think most of us had always wanted someone who would tell us this. Who would tell us to be with them and just forget about the world.
