Pitiful Television

I'm sitting in the waiting room with 20 other people, waiting on my brother, who is on his second treatment of chemo, and the television is on The View. This show has no value what so ever, in lifting the spirits of these chemo patients.
I find it pitiful that this facility can't find a better show, on national television, to give a better outlook to people trying to extend their lives.
I see that most of the people here are on their phones or reading a book and probably can't hear the television, because they're in their ninties, but even Gunsmoke would be better than listening to these ladies negativity.
The only positive thing about The View, is that it's only an hour long!

Yes! I wish they would've put on Gunsmoke or Bonanza!
Sometimes I just turn it off or ask the receptionist for the remote.
Hope your brother is doing okay despite all.

Hey, @wonderwop. A very appropriate use of the word pitiful. Not much of a fan of The View myself. It's too bad that shows like that can't be more uplifting, but I guess someone must be watching it. Or maybe it's just all of the hospital waiting rooms.
I do wish you and your brother well. It's a hard road. What's his prognosis, if you don't mind me asking?
8th day of radiation and 2nd day of chemo. Doctor said his blood work looked good. Thank you @glenalbrethsen for stopping by. Next Wednesday, I might ask them to change the channel if it's on ABC when I get there at 8:30 am.
I wouldn't hesitate to ask, and I'm sure they'll be okay with it. I'm glad to hear about the bloodwork. Chemo isn't something you wish on anyone, but then, neither is the reason for it, so not much else to do I guess but get through it. I'm sure your brother is doing as well as he is because you're there to support him through this. Having someone like that can make a world of difference.
6 weeks ago I would've bet he wasn't going through the radiation and chemo, I'm glad he changed his mind. He's a young 70, plenty of time to get in more trouble.
