The Planet Of The Health Shops (And Apes) (5 Minute Freewrite)
Prompt: Vitmains
“We need our vitamins.” The earth and its humans have existed for a long time. They were the dominant species of our planet. Eventually they thought that their whole survival depended on whether there was a good health shop available.
"To survive, we need to make our vitamins and put them in a jar. "
Long before local health shops existed, humankind survived on something known as food. Vegetables, fruit, meat, potatoes, rice which could be blended to make some fine dishes. There are still some humans on the planet. Those humans still use food to help them survive.
It was thought, that a whole range of diseases could be attributed to the lack of vitamin pill consumption. It makes you wonder how humankind survived as long as they did.
Perhaps this was the downfall of humankind. The more resources that were available, the more problems humans seemed to have. Perhaps the cavemen were on to something. Perhaps life was always meant to be kept simple. Perhaps that is why we got taken over by damn dirty apes.
The apes will survive. They are strong and able and they do not need a health shop. Instead, they will look for food. Beautiful, natural, healthy, delicious food.
That sounds like a treat to me.

A good question. I think it is because Qurator have voted for it. If you are new, and writing good quality posts, you have to be a part of a community. I am part of The Alliance. However, I am no expert. People say to me that I should be more successful on Steemit. Possibly true, some people get away with posting pap. I'd rather do Steemit on my own terms.

Superb bit of writing, a very good point as well the best goodness for our health is from good quality fruit and vegetables not pills in jars and energy boosting drinks.

Thank you, the idea to bring in Planet of the Apes came later during the write. I blame Holland and Barrett for the fall of mankind. 😁
When you break it down simply, it does seem silly that we package "health" into a bottle and sell it. Great post!

No problem, and, I haven't forgotten. 😉 And, yes, those stories can only be told when you're ready. There's a lot I haven't told and may never tell. If it doesn't feel right to do so.
I think that our soil is depleted, the food we are used now is highly processed and the varieties grown have way less nutrition - at the same time, we have way more pollution in our environment. that is why we need a boost...
