Freewrite Day 100: In collaboration with @snook
This is a story written by myself and @snook.
The Devil And His Ark
Part 1 by @mr-neil
Saturday morning has already come and gone. Noah has returned and he has built a stunning arc. What is even more fitting, on a day like this, is that the members of the freewrite community are writing in pairs.
What they will find, when they finish, is Noah and a big invitation to ride with their partner.
“You've done well,” said Noah. “Now I offer you a lovely arc and financial riches for all your stories.”
So, that sounds kind of fun. I'm sure you would all like to sail in the arc. It would help if there was free WiFi. There is.
But money?
Actually, you may have overlooked one thing. If you ever saw the devil, he is not going to look like the devil. He's going to like Noah.
…...and now my friends, you are on the boat to hell. A bit of a shame really. I was starting to like you. But we must stay true to the story. You're off to hell.
And if you think there's any hope, rest assured nothing can save you now. You're done. Finished. Toast.
100 days was fun, well done for that, if that's any consolation.
200 was never going to happen.
Part 2 by @snook
The Freewriters, all, was not a stupid group, they knew a thing or two learned over the course of the 100 day journey.
They had been ridiculed, spoken down to and told they were a waste but that community of misfits had all finally found a home. A boat that floats would be a nice place to settle down.
Off they went to put their heads together once again. Mumbling, swearing and lots of arm raising could be seen and heard.
Then what happened next was the funniest thing you ever will hear.
The devil strode in asking what was the problem, looking all innocent in his barring.
The group, as one, turn and said, “Thank you for our new building! We will float this boat to hell and back but take in Heaven too, take a journey into each of our minds and infused this boat with all”.
Now a freewriters mind is a scary thing and most would not want to go there, but the Devil thought and thought and started to……...grow wings?
He swore “What The Heavens!!!!!!!” then grabbed his head as the pouring of all the freewriters thoughts came funneling in.
That poor devil that day………...let’s just say……….he jumped overboard of his own accord.
The end

Thank you @mariannewest for this crazy idea to collaborate for the freewrite. How amazing to wake up and see the story completed by @snook
I live in the United Arab Emirates, so I am quite a few hours ahead, therefore I get to find out about the daily prompts in the evening.
I got home late on Saturday, so I just had time to write part 1. I asked someone else to do part 2. Just as I was about to turn in for the night, when @snook offered to complete the story.
I saw the completed story when I woke up, I was blown away with the final result. What a joy to wake up and see this story complete.
Happy 100 to all the people that take part and read these crazy stories.
It is so fun. However busy I am, I stop for the freewrite. Apologies if I haven't read as many as I intended.
I did read a few yesterday. So many different writing styles. I really do urge anyone who has an active imagination to take part.
I'd like to say that cookies are on offer, but I've heard they're poisonous.
It was a ton of fun and I was so happy I was there at the right time!!! :D
Thank you for letting me finish the story!! :D
It was a pleasure. It was your support in the early days that helped me grow my confidence to write on here. It was great to wake up and see the finished story.
The two of you made a terrific team-up! Thanks for the trip to Hell (and the Wifi). With our freewriting group, Mr. Devil never stood a chance! tip!
I realize that you've already submitted your offering for today's prompt but, my ride prizes himself on keeping his word.
Today I'm flying along on the back of a griffin to deliver the prompt to all of our fantastic Freewriters!

Fantastic group spirit!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It really was fun to set up the story then just leave it to @snook. Because of time difference, I had to wait until the morning to read it. Beautiful.
You two did great!! Glad snook took your story! She knows how to deal with devils lol
She certainly does. I did try to destroy the group, but you all saved yourself in the end. It was a test passed with flying colours.
All this testing going on here!! Remember, we are free!! LOL. Yes, this group is amazing. It gets out of trouble in stories and out of trouble when troublemakers come to our prompts :)
I'll have to up my game. Hahahaha
👺 😂
