This day is going to be my day — I said aloud while I started getting ready. ¡Bella! — I exclaimed at the end, almost two hours later.

I loved the result, especially for the sleeves of that lace blouse; it was baroque, and I was fascinated by that.

An extra touch of perfume and I left the house.

My smile did not leave me, because I was genuinely happy and, additionally, I was premiering polish and whitened teeth.

Not only my teeth, earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets shone, but also the profuse Swarovski crystals that adorned the beautiful sleeves of my blouse.

I was going to meet him. I was already near the place when I realized about the unexpected chaos that was going on two streets away.

— What the hell...?

No pass from there on. I found a parking place and continued on foot, hurrying, or I could not be punctual. When I came out of shock, I understood that I had stopped smiling.

One of my sleeves caught on a fence and it stopped me suddenly, pulling me back. I remember the screams and the post beating in the air and passing a few centimeters from my head.

Then, I was in his arms, scared, while he held me close and, with his frozen hands due to the fright he experienced too, he tried to comfort me. The right sleeve of my blouse had been torn, and I wasn't hurt; just trembling under his fingers.

—Éste es mi día, me dije en voz alta, y comencé a arreglarme. —¡Bella!, exclamé al terminar, casi dos horas después.

Me encantó cómo lo hice, especialmente por las mangas de aquella blusa de encajes. Era barroca, y me fascinaba por eso.

Un toque extra de perfume, y salí de casa.

Mi sonrisa no me abandonaba, porque yo estaba realmente feliz y, además, estaba estrenando pulitura y blanqueado dental.

Brillaban no solo mis dientes, mis aretes, anillos, collares y pulseras, sino también los cristales Swarovski que adornaban profusamente las primorosas mangas de mi blusa.

Iba yo a su encuentro. Ya estaba cerca, cuando me di cuenta de que, a dos calles, había todo un caos inesperado. —¿Qué rayos...?

No había paso de allí en adelante. Estacioné donde pude y seguí a pie, apurando el paso, o no podría ser puntual. Dejé de sonreír, pero de eso me di cuenta más tarde, cuando salí del shock.

Una de mis mangas se enganchó en una alambrada y me frenó de golpe, tirándome hacia atrás. Los gritos y la viga batiéndose en el aire, y pasando a escasos centímetros de mi cabeza: eso lo recuerdo.

Luego, estaba en sus brazos, asustada, mientras él me estrechaba y, con las manos heladas por el susto que también experimentó, intentaba reconfortarme. La manga derecha de mi blusa estaba desgarrada, y yo no tenía ni un rasguño. Solo escalofríos bajo sus dedos.
