Introducing Steemit Food Challenge!
Steemit's first weekly Food Challenge is here!
The theme of the first food challenge is: Best breakfast. How do you like to start your day in a tasty way? Make a post with your best breakfast with hashtag #foodchallenge and #food and you have the chance to win!
Win 50 Steem for sharing your best breakfast!
Deadline is in one week, next Sunday at 12.00 GMT+2.
The challenge is presented by me @givemeyoursteem and my friend and foodie-in-crime @healthyfood . We are both pretty new to Steemit and want to contribute. Since we both love food inspiration, AKA foodporn, we tought a challenge to share each others creations in the kitchen would be great.

What's the recipe to win?
We will select a winner based on:
- The dish
- Creativity
- Presentation (the look of the dish, photos, or why not a video?)
- The possibility for others to re-create the dish based on the post
Remember to tag the post with #foodchallenge and #food. Only verified accounts will be considered for winning.
The finalists and winner will be announced in a post! We will give 50 Steem dollars to the winner, and aim to give more prizes in the future Food Challenges!

This challenege is what inspired to me to finally start writing on Steemit! My breakfast post is soon to come, but first a quick question from a newbie: how do you become a "verified" user? I uploaded my first post (introductory) last night, but I'm not sure what else I need to do before uploading my breakfast post to ensure I'm verified. Thanks for your contribution, looks yummy - and I can see we both likes food, hiking and dogs! :) To verify your account it's a good idea to make a short post were you hold a paper with your user name + todays date + "Steemit", or if you add the image as a comment to your first post were you made the introduction :) I'm sure you're a real person but it's just a formality so the community knows you are a not a bot or so.
