One Pot Chicken & Sauerkraut ~ Healthy Probiotic ~ FOOD PHOTOS & VIDEO
This is a Pennsylvania classic that is basic, easy, healthy and delicious. Baked chicken and sauerkraut recipe. Sauerkraut is a probiotic and has a lot of health benefits. There are many recipes using sauerkraut (I will be making more :) ) and this recipe is one of them. The taste of chicken and sauerkraut is very comforting. This is an easy one pot chicken dinner and I hope you give it a try. VIDEO RECIPE below. Enjoy
How to Make Easy One Pot Baked Chicken and Sauerkraut Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
3-4 pounds of chicken
2- 14 oz cans/bags of your favorite sauerkraut
1 small slice onion
1 cup of diced carrots or mini carrots
1 sliced apple
salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. celery seed
In a baking dish add everything except chicken. Give a stir.
Place chicken on top.
Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, turn chicken, recover and bake an additional 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve over mashed potatoes or baked potatoes.
Enjoy.
