Some Traditional Aceh Cakes 🍪 🍰 🍩

Each country or region has its own typical cake and each typical cake has its own time when it is served, It all depends on the customs of the people in the country and the region. Similarly, traditional aceh cakes are usually served on special occasions and events of aceh customs, here are some traditional cakes typical aceh:

Keukarah

Keukarah cake is one of Aceh traditional cakes made from a mixture of flour and coconut milk. This cake is like a javelin-sized fibers the size of a palm. Keukarah cake has a flavor that is crunchy, fragile, tasty, and sweet. For the aceh community, Keukarah cake is usually served as the delivery of traditional wedding and aceh events.

Timphan

Cake Timphan there are 2 kinds, namely Timphan Asoe Kaya (Timphan Rich Contents or Egg Jam) and Timphan Asoe U (Timphan contents of coconut or coconut jam). Both of these Timphans have their own flavor characteristics. For Timphan dough has 2 types, banana dough mixed with sticky rice and pumpkin mixed with sticky rice. Timphan cake wrapped with banana leaves. The people of Aceh are very fond of timphan because it has a sweet taste and very tempting. One of the other typical aceh cakes is Bhoi which is usually by the aceh people present at Kenduri and wedding party. Bhoi cake is also often served at big events, such as on the day of Eid. Bhoi cake made from main ingredients Wheat flour, chicken eggs, baking soda powder, and some other ingredients. Bhoi cake shaped according to the mold is usually aceh people make fish-shaped Bhoi cake, therefore Bhoi cakes are often called fish cakes.

Adee

Adee cakes are usually sold in the aceh community also has its own delicious taste, Adee cake has a soft texture that makes aceh people make this cake as a snack. But this cake is also often used as a gift by aceh people while visiting the family home. What gives pleasure to the Adee cake is the use of duck eggs and thick coconut milk, this cake is circular.

Seupet

Seupet cakes will often be encountered during Lebaran, official events, and culture in aceh. Seupet cake sweet taste, tasty and crunchy so it becomes a simple snack for aceh society.
A piece of cake is still traditionally made with manual mold made of iron with a long handle. This mold has a carved motif that produces a motif when the cake is printed, Seupet cake becomes beautiful with carved motifs. The main ingredients of the cake are rice flour, chicken eggs, coconut milk, and some other ingredients.

Nyap

Nyap cakes are flower-shaped cakes that characterize traditional aceh cakes. Kue Nyap has a crispy and savory taste and sweetness of sugar sprinkles that have been in the puree. The Nyap Cake is made with traditional flower-shaped aceh molds dipped in cooking oil. The main ingredients of Nyap cookies are rice flour, chicken eggs and coconut milk.

Meuseukat

The latter is a Meuseukat Cake or also called Dodol pineapple, Meuseukat cake has a soft texture and sweet taste. Meuseukat cakes are usually served to greet guests as a courtesy from aceh society. The Meuseukat cake is not sold in traditional markets because the Meuseukat cake is only used on certain occasions and the reception of guests, if you want to buy Meuseukat cake then have to make special order at traditional aceh cake maker.

And there are many other typical traditional aceh cakes.

The fish shaped Bhoi is my favourite from the pics.

Try to make timphan, timphan very good

I really like timphan. Wet cake typical aceh very good, my mother often make it for order people. Usually timphan is made ie timphan pumpkin and timphan serikaya.

And besides that I really like meuseukat. It tastes very good, chewy on the tongue. With a sweet flavor makes it convenient to chew.

I really like the typical cake aceh, in terms of any cake form beautiful.
