Good morning friends! It's nice to start a new day with a delicious and simple baking. Now it's summer, which means a season of fruit variety, so you can make pastries using a lot of these useful and fragrant sweets.
As many probably know, I like to make fast and simple pastries and of course very tasty. Today I also want to show a very simple recipe for galette with apricots.
In general, you can use absolutely any fruit and berries for the filling, it's up to you and your taste :).
I like baking galette with apricots. When baking, apricots become very soft and incredibly aromatic.
Butter- 180 g
Flour - 250 g
Sugar - 3 tbsp.
Salt - 1/4 tsp.
Cold water - 50-100 g
Apricots - 6-7 pieces
Yolk - 1 pc.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar and salt. Then cut the butter into cubes and put into the flour. All mixed well with your hands, when a small crumb is formed add cold water and knead the dough. Remove the dough for an hour in the refrigerator. At this time, wash the apricots and cut them in half, removing the bones. Roll the cold pastry on the board with sprinkled flour in a thin layer and lay out carefully the apricots. Protect the edges of the dough and oil it with yolk. To apricots, put pieces of butter and sprinkle everything with powdered sugar. Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
The galette sprinkle with powdered sugar and can be served to the table.
The galette is a crispy treat with a very juicy and fragrant filling.
The galette is also very tasty and cold and it is impossible not to cook it deliciously. It's very simple and so quick, if you prepare the dough in advance and put it in the fridge, then you can bake such incredibly delicious pastries for breakfast!
