GRINGALICIOUS IS ASKING, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO CREATE?! ( An open question for what FOOD STEEMIANS want to see ) WIN STEEM!
For months now, I have been posting my creations based upon my ideas and my inspirations. Now, it’s your turn. Tell me what you want to see?
I’ve been asking all this time, what can the Steemians do for me, now it is time I ask what can I do for you Steemians. (A little JFK there which is kind of appropriate for inauguration day yesterday in the states, don’t you think?)
So, please, in the comments, tell me about one of your favorite foods or food memories. What food smells trigger supper happy thoughts and make you all warm and fuzzy. All you Northerners could probably use some warm and fuzzy about now.
The steemian that gives me the request that inspires me the most will of course receive a big huge mention in that future post, plus 50 Steem. **DEADLINE for submission is 23:00 (UTC) Sunday 01/22/2017. Who knows, maybe this will turn into something bigger in the future.
I could have set this up like a poll, but I don’t want to influence your free thinking. Just pour out to me what you want to see and I will put on my chef’s hat and get busy!

A very good idea my dear. I would have a 3-course menu. Starting with the starter from a pumpkin ginger soup. As a main course baked quails on a nest of potato strips with fennel vegetables. As dessert, a chocolate cream on vanilla ice cream decorated with tropical fruits.... 😀

I would love to see and learn how to make falafels; falafel balls, falafel tacos, falafel wrap, falafel burger all sound good! Pretty much any and all things falafel!

I am vegetarian so maybe Chilean vegetarian dishes, like traditional ones! When I was there I ate sopaipilla and I loved it.

I actually lived for some time on the Island just off the west coast of Vancouver ! In a town called Nanaimo ! My second son was born there ! And I love Nanaimo Bars ! But I dont have a great recipe for them ! Or a recipe for them that you could create with a twist ! Their so delicous ! So my pick is Nanaimo Bars ! Yummy ! Thanks for asking and steem on ! 👍😊

I'm sure i'm late to the party and I haven't bothered to read the comments yet before giving my suggestion hoping it isn't already taken but I would love to see how you would piece together a masterfully done mega dessert, one of my favorites, the infamous Coffee Crumble Cake. and if you don't make that, then my second and third suggestion would be a Jambalaya or Gumbo with a mixture of culture and meats. We will see what you bring, and if you do make one, I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

This might sound a little weird but when you mentioned those 1950's diners (the diner is disappearing) in your banana split post -- I got a vivid memory of spending every Sunday after my hockey game (win or lose) my Dad would take a bunch of us to the diner and I would have a giant hot open MEATLOAF sandwich.., and there was a hard boiled egg in the middle. It would freak me out, for some reason (in a good way). Haven't thought about that for years!
That's amazing that you say that. I have a post that I am working on that may surprise you! Until then, this comment is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Some warm fuzzy memory food and to top it off, a story behind it. This is added to the list. Again, it's ironic you mentionging this right now. I'll elaborate more later.
