Treasure Hunting for Gold at the Farmers Market with Goldmatters

With a name like Goldmatters, even a Sunday trip to the Farmers Market becomes a search for gold!

The Farmers Market only accepts worthless fiat currency, so we first had to make a stop to withdraw some. I knew right away this was a poor decision as we got a taste of #ICE9 right away.

Those of you have read “The New Case for Gold” by Jim Rickards know what I am talking about:

Even the second ATM was anxious to get rid of the fiat:

This made the search for gold at the farmers market even more imperative:

Plenty of beautiful fresh fruit:

Vegetable's:

I started to at least look for things that were found underground, in hopes of digging out some gold:

Found some misfit apples, but not Golden Delicious

There were these “Meal in a jar” that I thought were super cool

But no gold:

Lesson learned: There is no gold at the Farmers Market.

It was time to leave the Farmers Market, pockets not filled with gold. But a beacon in the distance gave me hope. If you squint you can see the Target sign.
