My dear foodies,

Hello my dear guests, today I bring you a recipe a little tropical with some temperate climates, banana, and oats, just two ingredients will be enough for us to make a rich and very nutritious biscuits, in addition to being a very simple and quick to prepare, oats is one of the cereals that today help maintain our body, no matter how much we eat, always be beneficial to the body, but with respect to the banana although it is very healthy and has good fibers for our body, has a high potassium content so its consumption should be moderate especially in those who suffer from the heart.

I find it very interesting to mix a tropical ingredient with bananas and a bowl of cereal from temperate climate countries such as oats.

As you can see there are only two ingredients, it would be too much to saturate the recipe as more sugar, it is enough with all the sweetness and fruit sugar that provides the banana, although if you are very sweet tooth you can give a touch of agave syrup and nothing happens.

Before I start I want to notify that this is a base mixture, if you want to add another ingredient such as carob powder, cocoa , or some vanilla or any special ingredient that comes to mind is welcome, as the cookies with these two ingredients will be equally rich.

The joke is that these cookies are vegan, and if we make them once a month they won't go wrong. Join me in preparing this rich and nutritious recipe.

My secrets INGREDIENTS

(for 20 portions):

♡ 200 g. of oat flakes

♡ 2 large (or 3 small) well ripe bananas (approx. 200 g)

PREPARATION

Preparation time: 15min
Cooking time: 25min
Total: 40min

How to prepare oatmeal and banana cookies with only 2 ingredients

Our first task is to preheat our oven to about 180 degrees Celsius with that will be enough to keep the right heat for our rich cookies.

While we preheat, with a mixer or food processor we will take care of pulverizing some oat flakes, you can leave some flakes to give more texture to the cookies, or if you have powdered oatmeal you can avoid this step. The idea of pulverizing the oats is that they can mix better with the banana.

We only need a fork a very useful tool for the next task, crush the bananas until we get a puree, then we will incorporate the oats little by little as if it were the preparation of any dough, this we will do to have a dough well manageable and uniform. I recommend reserving a little-crushed banana in case the dough dries up a little.

A tip for the cookies, while we prepare them, is to make enough balls of the same size so we will not have much difference between one cookie and another.

Once the cookies are ready we will place them in our oven on a tray to bake them for about 12 minutes maximum.
You do not have to eat the cookies the same day if we store them properly in the refrigerator can last about 4 days and if we keep them at room temperature can last about 2 days. And if the freezers last much longer. You decide.

We can accompany them with delicious tea, or with almond or coconut milk. You can serve them in the afternoon of a Sunday after the siesta or as you prefer.
