Rhododendron arboretum
The name Rhododendron derived from two Greek words rhodos meaning rose and Dendron meaning tree. Out of 1000 natural species of rhododendron, 30 species of it can be found in Nepal. Among which the most renowned is Rhododendron arboretum known as "Gurans" in Nepali. The beauty of it draws the thousands of trekkers to Nepal every year. We can see the shifting of red color to pink and gradually to white with increase in altitude.

Some facts about Laliguras
- Their flowers are eatable and are used as curry dishes.
- It is used as traditional medicines. Its barks are used to cure the cough, diarrhea and dysentery.
- Labrador , the famous tea is made from it.
