Filmmaker's Diaries: Getting Paid
Hello and welcome to another Filmmaker’s diary! - 15/02/2019
Long day again… just wanted to chill but managed to do 20 min of writing on the script. (Maybe I’ll do 20min more)
I heard that, that guy who wants a music video, was looking for me. So maybe in a few days, there will be some news.
I’ve been thinking about how I haven’t made a narrative film in so long… I’m going crazy. Sometimes fell like just dropping the video companies and everything and just make a short. Actually had an idea that I think I will pursue.
That aside… had my second pay, video related. The video that was pushed back due to the kid being sick… I already got some payment for it… before shooting … pretty good. Things are aligning.
Been thinking about a couple of gear things that I really should get. Mainly for the Real estate videos… Kinda sucks I can’t just get it.
Next week I’m invited to an inauguration party for a real estate agency.

What can I say? If a feeling keeps coming back, it's often best to follow it. It isn't there for nothing. I think that most of us won't get happy if we just stay working for other people.
If you took money out of the equation ( if it wasn't necessary to survive) ), what is it you would do? Would you do the same you're doing know or something totally different?

Yeah, if money was not necessary for sure I would free up 12H/day... everything would be different then. And a lot of these video projects would probably not be on the plate... Guess only narrative with some music videos would.
But it's ok... the video companies are about to start to roll... and things will be better. Including getting some money for a few shorts. (Maybe a feature)
