After gatrhering his prana and taking a deep breath, Patryg drew an ancient rune in the air and called out in a loud voice. “Goerman! Helena! Persis! Komm zu mir. Vor mir tauche auf." (1) At his bidding, the air grew more chill and a sprit in ancient Holy Rose Armor slowly formed out of the very air. The spectral being took a step towards Patryg and reached out for him. "Sei aufmerksam. Nicht bewegen." (2)

The ancient Crown knight slowly came to attention. "Wie du wünschst, Großmeister "(3) The being intoned in the ancient tongue.

Patryg slowly looked around, searching for signs of the other two beings. "Helena, Komm, zeig dich selbst."(4)

At his bidding, there was a shuffling sound from the shadows and the form of a young woman, wearing the armor of a Grail Knight from almost one hundred years ago walked into the light and came to attention next to Gustav. "Hier bin ich, Großmeister."(5)

Patryg drew a deep breath. The next part was going to be very painful. With a solemn voice, he intoned. "Persis, Ich fordere Sie auf, an meine Seite zu kommen. Du bist vom süßen Leben nach dem Tod berufen." (6)

Behind him, he felt Eva reaching out and offering her support, and he appreciated it. Grandfather, come, you are needed. As if his quiet urging had provided the impetus for the calling, the spirit of an elderly man, that could have passed for Patryg, appeared from the shadows. Since Peris had died by twenty years ago, his spirit still appeared as it had in life. "Ich bin hier, Patryg, Sohn von Joseph. Was können wir für Sie tun, Großmeister? " (7) The Shroud and Covenenant Knight inquired.

For an instant, Patryg's throat closed and he felt the pain from the loss. Then, pulling himself together, he spoke in modern common, knowing that the spirits would understand. “We are being forced to leave the keep. Kalyb, son of Olwen, King of Tarnen has threatened to kill every innocent person within ten leagues, if we don't leave.“ The spirits in front of him bristled, he could feel their anger and disgust.

After a few minutes, the figure of Peris raised his hand, calming his two compatriots. “We understand, Patryg, son of Joseph. What is your command?“

The Grandmaster ached to reach out and touch his Grandfather one last time, and as a silent tear tracked down his cheeck, he offered a bow of respect to the three past Grand Masters. “The Defense of the keep and it's remaining treasures is in your hands. Show no mercy to anyone who enters, who is not of the blood.“ He commanded.

“So soll es sein.“(8) The spirits formally intoned as they disappeared and took their places on the battlements.

(1) Come to me. In front of me do appear.
(2) Be at attention. Do not move.
(3) As you wish, Grand Master.
(4) Come, Show yourself.
(5) Here I am, Grand Master.
(6) I call upon you to come to my side. You are called from the sweet afterlife.
(7) I am here, Patryg, son of Joseph. What may we do for you, Grand Master?
(8) So mote it be.
