Take a peek at this pair of cute printed bottoms that I crafted from yet another blouse that someone left around the house. This was a large shirt so I still have some leftover fabric to work with too. My cuts need work among other things, but I like where I'm headed. It feels good to be able to make something that you know is one of a kind. What's better is that by up-cycling you are saving a garment from potentially being thrown "away"...& with the fashion industry being the world's second largest polluter behind big oil, you're doing a real justice to the earth. Sometimes it can be easier than you think to turn something that may have become trash into a treasure.
Not perfect, but who is?
Instead of buying new clothes each season, we have got to be doing more of this - upcycling.

Hi :) If you haven't heard of it, there's a society on Steemit that goes under the tag #needleworkmonday - might be interesting for you to check out :) Looking forward to seeing some more up-cycled stuff :)

Hi @lil-mich, I had no idea! Good looks! Thank you so much for the heads up and for your interest. Beaming love & blessings your way this evening.
Well, better than buying new ones. Haha. And you get to choose what style to do if you upcycle 👍
