I had a lot of fun making my Murals of SW Portland post, so I've decided to do another about a local mural that has gone through quite a few transitions since it's creation. This work of art was created, and revised by Pablo Gonzales and is located on the side wall of a dispensary in SE Portland. The front of the building has since been painted as well.
Let's start with how it all began:

This space ape with his "dab gun" seemed to cause a stir in the neighborhood...someone complained to city hall and shortly after, the mural morphed into this. Still cool but not nearly as cool.

Fast forward to a few months down the road. The mural has been changed a third time. Now when we drive down Powell boulevard, we are blessed with the huge gleaming, wrinkly face of Donald Trump smoking an American Flag doobie. There was also the addition of the name of the dispensary the mural is on, Alternative Solutions, to the bottom of the piece.

He's even got a NASA patch with his name on it. Space cadet Trump.
Alright, so to me, the final product is quite a bit more offensive than how it was to begin with. Personally I think the artist should have left it alone despite pressures from the city. What do you think?
