An actual good day of runs.

Hello hello!

So, I honestly don't get the general air of panic when the crypto prices drop. I had the entertainment of being online as it was happening and watching people on YouTube lose their minds. The thing is, I don't quite get the big deal... surely hardly anyone is actually making a living purely with cryptocurrencies... if so, I have to say that's probably a little premature. I'd love to eventually make the move to live entirely on crypto, but I'd need to at least be able to pay for groceries and rent in crypto before I was to make the move.

I reckon the general panic is one of validation. People want to be seen as geniuses, and so to validate that, they want their particular crypto to be skyrocketing in price... The thing is, I doubt very much that anyone panicking is actually using the coins as intended. Musing.io had question after question of "why is this happening?" and "is this the end?", and YouTube comments on crypto related videos were just chaos.

I'm sure most of the people who are super nervous are also people who wish they were around when prices were lower..... so, ah, ahem, here's your chance.

The little bits of crypto that I've purchased, I fully intend to spend as crypto... I honestly don't intend to convert any of it back to fiat... ever.

Anyway, enough of that... my running today was actually good. I've been struggling of late when general grossbones... my Achilles and calves were being jerks on Monday, and so I've been stretching like a guru and I think it might have worked... today was much better. I definitely got a lot further before my Achilles decided to let me know they were there.

How lucky are we to have @run.vince.run propping up the Exhaust group?

My intermittent fasting is actually going super well. I honestly can't believe it. I don't understand it... but I seriously do have more energy. It's so weird.

Anyway... hope everyone is crushing it, or smashing it... or even just doing it.

I used to practice a full 24hr (or 36hr, depending on how you counted -- I'd go from dinner on Tuesday to breakfast on Thursday) fast on Wednesdays every week, and it felt awesome. I would have more energy, but also, for obvious reasons, feel lighter -- which would really help out my climbing or running for that day. I've been meaning to get back into it actually, and you may have just inspired me.

Good on ya for gettin out for a solid run!

Did you really? That's hardcore... was it a struggle or did you set your mind to it and breeze through?

All of this is really making me question how much food do we actually need.... did the Aborigines in Australia eat every day? I have no idea... I really should check it out.

I'm definitely keen to try to eventually eat once a day... it just seems so efficient!

Yeah I've been off of it for a while now -- not sure why I stopped. Think I just started getting a bit greedy and enjoying the nearby lunch restaurants when I'm at work.

All of this is really making me question how much food do we actually need....

It kind of sounds like a funny question at first -- but after you start dialing it back a little bit, you start realizing how often you eat because you're socializing, or just because it's "more or less around the time you usually like to eat", or just because you're bored. Very very doubtful that our ancestors scarfed down 3 huge meals a day.

On a similar, but tangential note, most people eat WAAAAY more meat than they need to... All in the name of protein, which most people eat WAY too much of. I've been pretty quiet about my vegetarian / mostly vegan habits to this point -- but thought it was relevant enough to mention.

Oh yeah, I 100% agree... there's no way that meat could have been anything but a very special occasional food for 74,900 of the last 75,000 years that people have been around.... purely because of the logistics involved... hunting requires way more energy and organisation than gathering... and if you ate deer, etc every day you'd destroy your region pretty quick. I'm sure once farming was established, you couldn't possibly raise enough farm animals quickly enough to eat meat every day... let alone 2, 3 times a day.

It's something I'm definitely working on... but because I've already cut out carbs, I'm struggling... I'll figure it out though, I really want to head in a self-sustaining direction if I can.

WHAT THE CRYPTO PRICE DROPPED???

Just kidding, I know what you mean. I think there are some people out there doing some crazy stuff like mortgaging their house and betting it all on Bitcoin, I almost think they have the right to loose their minds based on the fact they have done something stupid. It is kinda similar to the people that are jumping onto Steem to make a million dollars.

Either way, keep running mate, the crypto price crash should be able to stop us from doing that.

Vince

I have no idea what's happening in crypto space at the best of times and that gets more deliberate the longer I'm on steem XD

Is that a good time for a run? It looks pretty good to me. Take care of those bits, they're being jerks for a reason XD

Yay for intermittent fasting going well! I wish I could do that and get an energy boost, all that happens is bad things XD
