"Meet Polar!"
This is Polar, a beautiful Siberian Husky who was rescued from the pound when he was just a puppy. He has been lovingly cared for by the Shamroq organisation and has developed into a friendly dog who loves people.
Polar had time for everyone and allowed me to sink my fingers into his thick coat of fur to pat him whilst we got acquainted. He sat contendedly in his owners chair at the Sandgate Einbunpin Festival in Queensland, Australia and kept a keen eye on what was going on around him.
The Einbunpin Festival Committee comprises of a group of volunteers from the local community who enjoy planning and running this yearly event which allows artists and organisations to come together to share their passions and talents.
The Einbunpin Festival has celebrated all things which makes the Sandgate Distrtict special since 1992 and people come from the local vicinity and from surrounding districts to enjoy the village atmosphere, the relaxed environment and the diverse cultures from within the Sandgate community.
The festival is a good opportunity to learn more about the local community, and catch up with friends. The venue is situated in the heart of Sandgate, and surrounds the lagoon and parkland in Brighton Road Sandgate (bordered by Keogh Street, Lagoon Street and Bowser Parade.)
The day includes something for everyone – stalls, entertaining performances by locals, as well as games and activities.
Polar was happy to be 'the face' of the Siberian Husky and Malamute Rescue organization.
And here he is, offering assistance to interested on-lookers. I coudn't think of a more worthy ambassador for this amazing organization.

Awwww cute! The only problem with huskies is that, if they get loose, they run and run. It's just what they like to do!
Such a beautiful dog. I love huskies. If I ever own another dog I'd like a husky or similar looking dog because they are so pretty.
