A memory pops up on my facebook while I checked on some news about the national football team on World Cup pre-qualification match. It was a picture from 4 years ago, my sister (#6) shared it proudly to me. It's the only moment when all 9 siblings, spouses and their children were on a same frame. My Hubby was not there because we're not married yet at that time😀

It's not easy to get everyone gathering on the same frame like this 😁 My Mom is not so fond to pose after being a grandma😊 I have seen many of her pictures in our family album taken by My Father before I was born.

My Father had some cameras to support his work as a civil servant at the General Work Department, rivers, landscape, bridges, water dams, road and buildings were his favourite objects to capture. When he completed his project, he would taken us to the site and spent the rest of the roll on us.

this is Cut Arifa aka Ibit, My Mom's favourite granddaughter😉 the one who spent 4 years of her childhood clinging to My Mom instead of her mother, my lil sister (#8)

Camera is a luxurious thing to have back then, I was lucky because My Father lets me use one his pocket camera anytime I want to go with friends, while others couldn't. My Lil Bro (#4) finally bought himself a good camera when he was 30 yo and he loves taking other pictures than himself too. I think most photographers are the same😆

Everyone is a photographer, nowadays😉 with smartphone camera as long as they put efforts to learn about composition and tricks. We learn that how important to capture the moment in life is. For someone who has a bad habit on memorizing names and places like me, a photo will be a great help.

at least once in a year, this kinda moment has been happening since we're kids. Mommy is ironing, everyone stays around her watching TV or just having chit chat in the living room.

When all members of my big family gathered at my parent's house, the bed rooms would be empty😊 everyone chosen to sleep together at the living room except the in laws😁 and babies. The same thing would be happened when there is a party in a close relative resident. All cousins would sleep together except that the big boys and big girls has different quarters.

All relative's house became a hostel for everyone😊 depends on how close they are, but there's always a house where everyone wants to stick together no matter how small the quarter was.

this tradition is everywhere in my hometown, we don't need to book hotel or inn, everyone enjoys their gathering time at one's house

What if you are coming from distant place and considered as stranger who join the family gathering with friend or spouse? Okay.. you will get a room for yourself, a best one😀 but I think after the second day, you'll probably joining the crowd😁

We learnt about equality and quality time from the family, tolerance and obligation as a member of a big family. Somehow, because everyone demands for privacy.. only few families still maintain this kinda tradition, including My Family😍
