#Eatwithme Dim sum on Saturday | 星期六吃点心 (by @ace108)
The Saturday morning before last, I went to taiji practice after missing a few weeks due to volunteer work commitments. steemit kept me away from breakfast. After practice, decided to go and try a new dim sum stall at a coffee shop nearby in Toa Payoh. Come #eatwithme.
由于去了做义几星期，好几星期没去练太极拳。上星期六早上终于回去但是为了steemit没来得及吃早餐就去了。练完拳后，决定去附近在大巴窑刚开不久的摊位吃点心。走，更我去吃点心。

就是在这咖啡店。现在，很多咖啡店要改叫食阁。不知为何。
There are a few stalls here and the dim sum stall is at the end on the right.
这里有几个摊位，点心摊位就在右边。
Looking at the signs at the stall front, we made the decision what to order and I join the queue.
看看摊位前面的标志，决定点几样点心就去排队。
When queueing, I see where some of the fried and steamed dim sum are.
排队时，我看到一些油炸和蒸点心。
They don't have a menu so I thought the signs were all there were until they show me other items not on the menu.
他们没有菜单，所以我以为只凭标志点。到我的时候却问要不要其它点心。
Not ready to revisit the decision process, I just ordered what was decided and take my food to a table.
不想再花时间从新考虑，就没改变主意。点了。把托盘端到桌子上。
The glutinous rice in lotus leaf was tasty and they were not stingy on ingredients.
荷叶中的糯米煮得很有味。对馅料也不吝啬。
This is the bean curd skin roll. Not bad too but I had better ones.
这腐皮卷还不错但应该不难吃到更好的。
Siew mai is one of the common type of dim sum.
烧卖是常见的点心之一。
The Xiaolong Bao is uncomparable to Din Tai Fung but at the cost, I wasn’t complaining.
小笼包无法跟鼎泰丰的比但价格低也不能太多计较。
I started with the glutinous rice.
我先吃这荷叶饭。
Finished. Get up and saw the ice cream man parked at the opposite row of shops and it was quite a hot day. Hmm….
吃完了。起来看到对面卖雪糕的叔叔。嗯。
Nope, still decided to go to the nearby stall here to get a slice of honey dew.
还是不了。决定去这里附近的水果摊买了片甘露。

Dim sum used to be one of my fav. since becoming a vegetarian, it's so hard to find veg. dim sum in Hong Kong, especially glutinous rice and Siew mai :(
I'm surprise to hear that it's hard to find. not easy but i think should not be hard. So, #whysocurious me is busybody when searching.

I had some Dim Sum the other day. It was pretty good. I didn't take photos though. Maybe next time.
Next time is always a reason to go eat again. ;-)
