Snap 13 - CHEAPEST EBAY LONG LENS for smartphones 12X magnification - ALMOST USELESS!
Good day to you awesome Steemians and DTubers!! This £2.50 lens is awful! (You get what you pay for I suppose!)
I am determined to use it tomorrow, so I think combined with my £1 mini phone tripod, this could be capable of producing 'Super 8' looking skate clips on my iphone.
It's worth a go I guess!
I just wanted to show everyone this today for my DTube Snap 13, as it made me laugh how this thing is almost useless!
I so love a challenge and I am determined to get something interesting out of this I promise!

I have bought all of my go pro equipment from ebay dude.
Can't tell you about what you bought,never tried that lens but my led light,batteries and scorpio for my gopro work like a charm and I bought them for like x3 times cheaper than I would have bought them here in Greece.

Oh yes those led lights are AMAZING!
Before they were invented I used to have a halogen light and the battery was like a car battery!! SOOOO heavy!!
You had to wear it over your shoulder like a sling!

actually zoom lenses may not work properly with the smartphones because there's a lot of shake and you need to have image stabilization to deal with telephoto lens.
I was planning to buy a lens for my smartphone but now I am in doubt xD
Yes this is true, I actually have the 'olloclip' app which allows you to turn off the stabilization and things like that, I just haven't really explored it yet.
Oh please don't let this put you off smartphone lenses! I am sure there are some good ones out there! But I wouldn't expect too much if it is cheap one!
I bet it is possible to get great footage with semi-decent phone accessory lenses. You get ehat you pay for is the golden rule, if it's cheap, its probably rubbish! =)

Hahaha! I know! But I just can't resist the temptation at that price! I love trying to find a use for something and I am sure I will figure out a way that this will be usefull!

Hi @kaerpedium! Yeah I would not recommend this lens at this stage!
If I learn a way to use it better I will make a video but to be honest, first impressions....this is trash!
Perhaps there are some higher quality lenses available that may give better results but I have not seen such a thing yet!
