One of Steems best-kept secret is @WesPhilbin. If you don't know him you should. If you do know him you are one of the lucky ones. He is a man that will help any and all on Steem. I am lucky enough to call him friend.
WesPhilbin came out with a great contest 25 days ago. You can find his original post, Best Seasonal Thoughts Contest by clicking on the title. The contest runs until December 25th, 2019.

My world has been a tad upsidedown lately. I realized in order to get my bum in gear to make a post, I would do it the easiest way I knew how. Six hours later and the sun almost peaking up behind the trees I have my 'Thoughtful Holiday Post Podcast' done. 😹
It felt good to sit and really analyze how I feel about the time from Thanksgiving, in the USA, to New Years Day. I hope you enjoy listening to me ramble on about old memories and how I feel about the holiday season now.

Oh heavens... I don't know about "best kept secret"... I could turn around and say, look in the mirror. This was a perfect example of what I was trying to get everyone to do...
Stop worrying about downvotes, deadlines, or numbers. Instead, think about what matters most... people, community, loved ones, and what ever faith you might decide to lean on. I thank you for your continued support and kindness, and again... friendship.

Hello lovely lady! :D
I'm in the same boat as you are. :D When our kids were growing up we used to all gather around the tree on Christmas morning and open presents, take pictures of the kids with their presents, call family and friends to wish them all a Merry Christmas and then just chill until it was time to start cooking. :D
We haven't put up a Christmas tree or decorated since our kids moved out, it's just not worth all the work to me, especially with six dogs that like to chase each other and bang into it or knock all the decorations off of it. :D
Thankfully our kids still come home for a visit at Christmas, so we still get to see them and open presents with them, just not always on Christmas morning anymore. :D
I'm grateful that they come home at all, it's nice to see that they're okay and healthy with my own eyes, it helps me let go of some of the worry I feel for them for a while. :D

Yeah, the tree.....Hubby did it for a few years and I finally was like WHY? and we don't have 6 dogs LOLL That would be crazy :D
