Hey there everybody! I'm researching ways to get more people to the steem blockchain and I feel like a good youtube video on the subject could help bring people over.

In my side at first i meet steem i just posted like what i realy wanted to post.but i learn and realize to make some blog about me and my life living here in the philippines when i was started to do it..
I was not expected i had alot of friends sending me comments talk to them on my post and steem blockchain realy help me alot on my life living i learn some ideas sharing some fun and ideas too..
Aside from that i earn money by posting my content which can help me more about financial..this platform steem blockchain is one of the best platform i ever knew..

Dtube is buggy I'm new to it and its even harder to just upload on here. Like I see the potential with steem I really do, but its so hard and buggy. Like for example just trying to watch your video (great video btw) its buffering like crazy! I dont even have bad internet lol. Outside of watching videos on Dtube searching for videos just does not exist at least for me I just get blank pages. :( Though there are some positives almost every post I make I get some random people actually commenting or following/subscribing to me which is really cool I like that. But its still to hard to see if people are actually watching. My content I make is what I'd call "Classic Youtube" fun simple vids with my friends and I having fun. And I think it has the potential to grow but Dtube is a bit foreign in terms of having to get noticed and see what people actually think of your stuff and whatnot. I signed up for steem in like late October and got my email saying I was good right at the new year. So i'm hoping things start to pick up for the platform in general. Steem is small and it will be good to see people checking stuff out I guess. But this is my 2 cents into this and all. I honestly dont care about crypto or making the money I just want a great platform to get people on board and start a community with my content. :)

Welcome to the blockchain my friend, congratulations on the account approval. I am shocked to hear how long it is taking at the moment, but I am sure there is something in the pipeline to remedy this one day soon I hope.
Oh yeah the dtube search thing has never really worked for me too.
I think that if you are here looking mainly for a community then you have come to the right place.
I have had such lovely encouragement from people on here and am finding that if I haven't been on here for a week I really start to miss everyone.
It's starting to really feel like some big things are happening now, there is this guy called @nathanmars who is really doing amazing things for dtube and is always looking out for passionate creators to help gain exposure on here. He is an awesome dude and is on a mission to make this place grow.

I remember waiting a couple of weeks back in January 20018.
I don't know how much time it takes to sign up now but I signed up my homie @papadog 2 weeks ago in under one minute via Steemconnect and I had to pay 3 steem plus the paid accounts don't have that +15 SP that Steemit gives you when you sign up so I gave my homie 20SP in order to comnent upvote etc.

Yeah man I needed to buy some cos I was tripping how cheap it was and I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if it goes up loads and I passed up the chance of getting some for cheap!

The easiest way is using STEEM Ninaja (https://account.steem.ninja/) you can open an account using a normal credit card. This is a new sign up portal, I have not used it yet. I opened mine by exchanging bitcoin on blocktrades. And I opened another one through steemit that took about 8 weeks.
Oh I forgot to mention that through STEEM Ninaja, you get your account immediately. No wait time and currently an account costs $2.50USD.

I am sure I heard something about steemmonsters where you can get an account same day. But I am not sure.

@nicolcron, I have great news. Today we had announcement that anyone can create a STEEM account instantly with 1-click buy on the apple app store for iPhones or google play for android through the app "steemwallet" by roelandp.nl

I applied for an account on November 20th, 2018 and didn't get approved until Jan. 9th 2019, so a bit over 7 weeks. I was going to go somewhere else cause of the long wait, but I really like the idea and philosophy of steemit. However, everything is really difficult, there is very little design control, though I haven't tried dropping in my own html yet. Also little things, like the comment button says "reply" not comment, it's a really frustrating experience to navigate everything. I hope it gets easier as time goes by as I love the idea of the steemit platform, but if there is going to be more user appeal, it needs to function like other more familiar platforms and the process really needs to be streamlined and quicker to become a member.

Congratulations for sticking around, I am sure you will get the hang of it all, but there are some very obvious things that need fixing on here, you are so right about that!
I have been here just over a year and can say that I love this community! It really is amazing and there are so many lovely creative people. I feel that in the long run we are all gonna be very happy that we came here!
