Coffee of the World Yemen Mocha Matari with me @c0ff33a ☕️

Now this is a colourful sack, Yemen Mocha Matari coffee is quite rare and therefore commands a high price - £30 per kilo of green coffee - and that's why it comes in these small 25kg sacks. Although I have sold this coffee as raw green coffee beans for many years, this is the first time I have roasted it. A customer specifically requested a 1kg bag of roasted, and it seemed reasonable enough to oblige.

Here is some of the specifications of Yemen Mocha Matari, it a coffee with quite a back story.

Here we have the roasted beans - look good don't they! Because this is the first time I have roasted Yemen Mocha Matari - it is going to be the first time I taste it as well - so this is quite exciting, I hope my roasting skills did it justice.

A small dose of the beans into the Aeropress, ready to tip into the grinder.

IMG_1015.jpg

And ground, just a little finer the filter grind.

IMG_1017.jpg

Add off the boil water to let it infuse with the grounds.

IMG_1018.jpg

And we are ready to brew, almost time to take the plunge.

IMG_1019.jpg

Plunging the Aeropress forces the water through the coffee ground, extracting all the flavour.

And here we have the freshly brewed Yemen Mocha Matari coffee, I always drink it black to appreciate the more delicate flavours.

The taste truly is WOW. Big flavour with overwhelming Dark Chocolate and deep tones of cherry. Incredibly naturally sweet, I have roasted and tasted many premium priced coffees including Jamaican Blue Mountain which at £100 per kilo is a very rare and expensive coffee. But Yemen Mocha Matari truly justifies it's price, incredible flavour and such a super smooth body - in fact it has been getting even better after roasting, two days later and I have had six cups while writing this post!

The greatest challenge we face on Steemit is getting our posts seen, I have always believed the simplest and best value way of doing this is by commenting on the blog posts of others, the more you engage people and interact with them the greater the chance they will visit your own blog and return the favour. Other then spending all my free time commenting on Steemit posts, I also distribute coffee roasting machines and also espresso coffee machines and roast my own Speciality Coffee Range. being one of the premium coffee suppliers Yorkshire including a wide range of filter coffee sachets

I am off to make myself a cuppa
It's is only Nescafe... nowhere close to yours
But it will have to make do ;p

It’s a long time since I drank instant - actually a few back when I was staying in London for the exhibition. Anyway nothing wrong with instant - but this is seriously great coffee - and from never roasting it before since I have advertised for sale roasted I have had to roast two more batches!

I believe you
You did make it sound yumzz 😊

Nice... if ever I drank coffee I would definitely try this rare one

It’s a really good coffee. And I drink loads of different ones - so for this to stand out it has to be really special.

Really tempted to try it, now I'm going to see if I can find it here in Taiwan

It might be hard to find, it’s quite rare now as they can’t process so much with all the troubles.

The blend of color in that looks incredible must be epic experience to try that

Thank you very much

Oh, what an exciting experience! And I am surprised ))
I thought that expensive sorts of coffee don't worth its price ☺ Mow I am intrigued, and I'd like to taste it one day ... when I get rich 😁

I have to admit, there is a great deal of Indonesian coffee that is very good value and still tastes fantastic. And I have an Indian gems of Araku that is just an amazing cup and really great value per kilo. Sometimes the price goes on the name not the taste, but this Yemen Mocha Matari really deserves it’s value.

I think I should keep it in mind, probably can find here.
Do you buy roasted beans?

Posted using Partiko Android

I can just smell the aroma of that yemeni coffee @c0ff33a :P
It makes me want to buy some real coffee beans but I am just limited myself from drinking much :/

It’s an epic coffee, but I also understand you need to be careful with your coffee consumption so it does not keep you awake. Do you ever have chance to make fresh ground coffee?

Posted using Partiko iOS

OK I SEE YOU!

Lol you and everybody else.

Posted using Partiko iOS

Good Video but much too short

Well I do try to mix them up a bit, and it was just an extra to go with my main post.

The fastest ~30$ ever :D

Lol thanks

Six cups ... you must be buzzing. Love coffee. But I take pastured butter if they got it ot full cream. I think I am what they call a supper taster and so black isn't quite for me. Although, some coffees taste better black on on ice, if you ask me. I guess like a whiskey might.

Thank you very much, I just have got used to black coffee now. Cold brew coffee is a big thing now - and the nitrogen infused versions are quite amazing with a creamy head to the cold coffee.

Big fan of nitogen brew. Yes it is awesome:)
