Drop in the Ocean: [010#] Humility

Walking a tightrope

Welcome to the tenth-week recap of our Drop in the Ocean show every Monday over at the BuddyUp server. Thank you to everyone who has helped the show continue to grow with every passing week.
A nice balance was struck in this week's show, which might be difficult considering the level of posts we had to share. We appreciate all the great posts from those who attended this weeks show, which itself always has great examples for this weeks topic on Humility.
If you want to join the Drop in the Ocean show and be part of the BuddyUp community, you are welcome to use the information at the bottom of this post and see how can dive into the BuddyUp Ocean.

The votes have been rolling in from the attendees of the show and we have the posts ready to share with you all.
The top two voted writers will 'level up'. When a member has leveled up, they will receive a daily upvote from the BuddyUP account at 50%. The member keeps their level for 2 weeks, unless they level up again on DITO within those 2 weeks. Every time you level up, you will receive an additional 10% on your daily vote, maxing out at level 5.
The writer with the most votes will be resteemed straight after this post. This is so we can all look back at the BuddyUP blog and see the winning posts from each week.
And the winners are...

The votes have been tallied, with all attendees voting for their favorite Drop in the Ocean post once the show was over, now we have our winners for this week ready to go.
Now, let's find out who gains a level this week...
@freedomtowrite

New member @freedomtowrite wins this weeks Drop in the Ocean with her post conveying humility from personal experience.
When moving to a foreign country, a person can't help but be hopeful. Once there you may end up questioning why things are a certain way.
With our understanding of carpentry, and savvy business skills from the “big city”, we would have this place whipped into shape in no time!
She shares with us how neglected some of the homes seemed in their area and surrounding town, sure that they should know how to better take care of their homes.

A honest post conveying the stages of humility as we may all experience in our lifes, she explains their situation from feeling they could have done better to the sobering reality of humility very well.
We had to learn to survive and how to do it together without giving up. We had to humble ourselves and our expectations.
There is a lot to learn from their experience in the post here
@dreemsteem

@dreemsteem joins us this week with her post. She starts to explain the difficulty of writing about the weeks topic, and relates to the fact that, what might seem simple at first can be quite difficult.
How could they think I was easy to understand when I myself still couldn't tell you how I would react to any given situation?
She shares that a person might feel like they are difficult to understand but might find that others feel the opposite.

Afterward, she follows by explaining a bit more about her story Fireflies and the difficulties of staying true to your writing.
Undoubtedly, you think your words are worthwhile. So there is a sense of confidence, pride, maybe even a little arrogance and ego stirred into the mix?
Another great personal example of humility, this time from the viewpoint of a writer who has experienced the roller coaster of emotions that required her to find balance.
Be sure to read her post over here, and make sure you check out Fireflies!

Our runners up for this week

Humility may be a difficult topic for some, others find that it just comes naturally. Whichever the case is for you, I feel our members did a great job of representing all perspectives.
Not all topics need be taken so serious and there can be wisdom in making light of something earnest.
With that said do enjoy the great posts from all of our runner ups this week, each a must read and all for their own reason.
So where are the rest of the posts?
A special note that if you have not you should definitely enter @tamala contest for your chance to win 3SBI.
How do you get involved?

Have you been reading through and wondering how you can get involved with our community/show? Below I've listed the steps to take, so you can jump into the action and share your perspective and views, with all of us here at BuddyUP.
Head over to our BuddyUP server. You can do this by following the SafeLink post here.
Think about the topic for next week, which is...
- Write a post about that topic and come by to the Drop in the Ocean show on Monday (20:00 UTC) to present it and join the conversation.
If you are new and you don't have a membership to BuddyUP, you will receive free access if you present in Drop in the Ocean.
The final and the most important piece of information is... do not publish your post until Monday. This is so we can give you all the best amount of exposure possible on your posts and also so you get paid out on the day of the show; so you can come back with an even bigger smile on your face!

You can come and speak to any of us in #the-pond (general chat channel in our server) or if you have any further questions, you can direct message @calumam or @penderis, and we will get in touch with you.
We're looking forward to seeing you all next week for the sixth show, clear your schedule, Drop in the Ocean is here to stay!
