Let's begin this week with a fresh illustration and a worn pun, why not.
Visuals for verbal-d #8
For about three months now I've been working on a series of illustrations for @verbal-d's novel They Didn't See It Beneath them. With this one finished we have now reached number 8 of the total of 12 drawings.
In this chapter the we are getting a small glimpse of the Megalodon treshing around among bits of hammerheads and sunken boats, having his moment in the spotlight while being hunted by the navy.
The drawing is made with windows paint over several sessions during last few weeks, when i got an odd hour or two to dedicate to the project. It is difficult to say how many hours in total, but i can say quite a few. Many things change over the course of drawing as i start from a rough sketch which then evolves to it's final form on the same work area.

This is pretty awesome! The right side of the image actually reminded me of that scene in Titanic where one boat returns to search for survivors and goes about with the flashlight.

Thank you. This series commissioned for specific purpose so they are of course not available. Have to say, this is not my typical work but there may be something else. i don't usually mind them being used with credits, as long as the content is something i can support.

Thanks! Well it is pretty basic and mixing colors can be awkward but the simple interface works for me in this sort of thing.
It just goes to show, the value of a tool is held in the person that's using it.
