The aim of this competition is to extend the idea for Steemit blogging. If we give a donation in food or money, when money and food are spent, we have the same problem - a poor family. If you donate a computer and teach people to make good posts and comments, then they begin to get a regular cash flow. I believe that in the first month, every new user can make $ 500, In the beginning the most money is made on good comments. Steemit with this idea can feed many people, villages, cities and poor countries. I want to launch a human idea because more users bring higher and faster growth to Steem and SBD. I want this competition to grow, to get a global dimension. Now it's only one computer, the next time the prize can be 150-300 SBD - it depends on the support you give me.

Hello sir, @dobartim, i would like to send my gratitude to you for this humanitarian services you re doing, am really proud of this great job you re doing. And the only thing i can offer you now is a prayer. God bless you sir and more power to your elbow. Above is my picture, i am a registered steemian but i really find it difficult to do the necessary things to help my development on steemit due to no access to good computer system. The phone am using presently is so bad that sometimes it could just go off and i could hardly get it on again. The reason why i should be consider is because am a student, i take full responsibility of my education, am responsible for payment of my tuition fee, and other expenses, i takes care of my accommodation, bills in the house, i feed myself. Last year, i almost could not pay my fee if not for the intervention of my brother, but now as i am writing he is late, he died of (cancer of the liver), i don't have anybody to help me, the load on my head is too much, i am so much afraid of seeing myself drop out of school for lack of money which i would not want to happen. Since i started school, life have been so difficult for me, my parent have nothing to assist me with, i have been hoping on God all the while. Just of recent, a colleague of mine told me about steemit and i was so exited, because i heard so many testimonies from people on how steemit had help them and changed their lives. I joined steemit with the hope of getting some money to take care of my necessary bills especially my school fee which is my priority for now. I look forward to hearing from you. Tbis is me carrying out a water quality research on Eleyele Lake, a major water source in Ibadan, Nigeria.
The research was self funded and raising the needed capital to complete the research has been quite a challenge.
Of course, since joining Steemit, I have been able to tap into a new opportunity to impact others and raise money to complete this research, this contest by @dobartim will greatly assist me complete the research.
To put things in perspective, over 2 million residents depend on this Lake. In the face of severe water shortage, dwindling water quality, extremely stretched municipal water treatment facility is in Oyo State, my research will help in pollution tracking, alerting authorities of pollution before it spreads to vulnerable communities, and providng scientific data that strengthen regulatory supervision.
I am convinced this laptop will help me in the preparation of my final research findings, and submitting my paper for publication in a leading scientific journal (I will acknowledge the provision of the write-up when the paper is published).

Good idea, thank you for trying to put laughter on people's mouths, i wish i could participate, but am a newbie here, i dont have much sbd yet
this is a great idea an amazing cause. I'm new here and a minnow so my vote doesn't count much, but i give it anyway along with my full support. steemit is an inspiring place and i think there is a lot of good that can be done here - and these kinds of contests are truly showing that impact. i like the idea of a computer scholarship award - and seeing updates from those winners and the impact that it has on their life. imagine seeing their posts become more often, quality of images become better, learning more each day. reminds me of the One Laptop Per Child program started years ago. maybe we need a One Steemit Per Student program! :D

Good day sir @dobartim. I'm @evarich, one of your steemit followers from Nigeria. Once again, I want to thank you for all the support and help you're rendering to new steemians to help them grow.
The picture above is that of the little children in my house, and they're all in primary school with the eldest girl getting ready to go to secondary school in September 2018. I have been partly responsible for the payment of the tuition fees of these kids because their dad lost his job sometime ago and hasn't gotten another yet. Because of that, I stepped in to be taking care of their schooling. But last two years, I resigned my job and went abroad full time for my masters studies. Upon return last year, I have not been able to secure a good job that can enable me keep paying the tuition fees of these kids. Because of that, they didn't go to school most part of last term because they were driven from school for non-tuition payment. As I keep putting effort into getting a good job, I was so excited when I was introduced to steemit and I joined 32 days ago. So far, I have I been using my phone to blog because I don't have a laptop. And this phone that I use really slows down my work. I am a good researcher and writer, but it takes me so much time with my phone to get one piece of blog done. Sometimes, I spend up to 3hours trying to type and set my blog with my phone. I type with much strain using my phone as the process is very slow. However, I desire to be more efficient and effective so I that I can get more done. Just last week, I was so excited when I cashed out my first $5 SBD I made from my blogging and gave a part of it for family meal. Therefore, I am asking for a laptop to be donated to my family so that I can get more done on steemit, and be able to raise fund to take care of these kids in school so that they won't have to drop out of school again. With a laptop, I can get more done in the time I use to research and write just one blog. Just last week, I was so broken when these kids came back from school and told me that their teacher in school told them that they'd be driven from school if they don't pay their school fees. I just had to tell them not to worry that their fees will be paid. These children are very smart and highly intelligent and need to remain in school.
This gift of a laptop will help keep these kids in school through the money I'll be earning from my blogging. We'll be forever grateful with your good work extended to us. Thank you so much.
