The Daily Sneak 6 November 2018 - with guest curator @paradigmprospect

in #curation6 years ago

Welcome to The Daily Sneak!!!

We reward quality content, AND content curators! Come for the crypto, stay for the community!

You can earn up to 5 SBD per accepted submission for guest curating The Daily Sneak. Submission requirements are published at the bottom of each edition of The Daily Sneak.

Today's guest curator is @paradigmprospect.

One of humanity's strengths is that we don't all see things the same way. Regardless of whether we are talking about society, bare human skills or alternative perspectives on the world, we see many people break out of pre-established patterns to find their own way in the sea of information and conflicting ways of doing things, then opt to share what they found with others.

Be it simple ideas for the kitchen, visual art that relays the atmosphere of far-off places or even investigations into topics most people are afraid to even ask questions about - it is @paradigmprospect's pleasure to showcase the work of these 5 Steemians today who are offering their take on what they see, feel and experience for us to consider things differently."

The Sneaked Selections

Daily Digital. Seascape Extraordinaire!

There is not much point in describing visual art in words when you can just come and check out the awesome artistic perspective @trudeehunter has shared with us depicting a visual reinterpretation of a small town in Queensland, Australia that inspires and relays a lot more information than one would suspect an image is capable of.

What a magnificent style you have, and what a sweet place you have depicted here in your own way! I thoroughly dig the style!

Recipe for simple soul-soothing Rice of Tranquility (includes oyster mushrooms, nori and sauerkraut)

Whenever funds run low, going for a week of rice dishes is a great idea; one I often use myself when money is tighter than expected. As an avid rice-dish lover, I am always stoked when I find new inspiring combinations for the kitchen that beg to be tried, especially if the post is so graphic and inviting like the one @a0i shared with us recently. Recipe included!

Just from the looks of it, I can tell: That dish really needs to happen here in the coming days ;)

Maybe you'll feel the same way <3

Making a Wrench

I am not so good with making things in the physical sense, but I greatly appreciate whenever I find someone who can and who does. DIY is a concept that is essential for living a life of reduced dependency on established system structures, and sometimes the perfect solution doesn't even readily exist anywhere.

What do we do then?

Well, as @beetlevc has shared with us recently - why don't we make the tools ourselves or build the exact 3d models we need to have someone else make for us the perfect tool for the job at hand?

Includes CAD models for the wrench in question as well!

Pretty Much Every Chart Shows that the Market is Screwed

As we are headed towards the periodically recurring disaster in the world's fiat markets we hear the usual from the system pundits in the mainstream media:
"Things have never been so great!"
"The economy is booming!"
"A great time to be in stocks!"

Well, all the more reason to keep an eye out for media outlets with less of a vested interest in the illusion that is the debt-based fiat money system and more of a focus on factual analyses of the developments in what people generally refer to as "the economy". There is always more than one scenario and @crushthestreet has delivered some very insightful pieces on the state of affairs of the ongoing economic meltdown and its probable conflicting outcomes, and this article is no different.

Highly recommended reading for people sceptical of the infallibility of the established monetary system and stubbornly one-sided narratives.

The State of Anarchy Tours Berlin | Decoding Esoteric Symbolism

Pushing the envelope for finding the truth is essential, and sometimes we get to a point where it takes people from outside coming in to remind us of certain oddities to our own culture and ways of doing things. Even if it comes in a direct and nonchalant manner like this video. Coarse language really is fitting to the degree of indoctrination that is explored on this tour through Berlin.

While the comments and topics raised by the crew of @stateofanarchy may be outright offensive to some, to others it is a refreshing and much needed take on the state of affairs in countries under the control of forces whose influence goes far beyond individual borders, continents and cultures. The influence that has long captured our view of reality as human beings living in an information society. The one world-religion in its many aspects has been long rolled out for people to fall into, and the more we begin to question these seemingly established narratives and prohibitions the more we can glimpse what may be behind these monuments of indoctrination.

In the spirit of shedding more light on humanity's cultural indoctrination and its ramifications, I want to extend my gratitude to you guys and @flauwy for drawing our attention to some of these oddities central to the post-war narrative. Not so that we may blindly believe something new without basis, but that we instead may start questioning the foundations of what our culture has taught us as obvious and undeniable truths ourselves...

You be the judge. As always.

Conclusion

I always know that the amazing commentary and selections from @paradigmprospect will push my limits and make me think about things in an unexpected way. Please stop by each post and let these talented authors know what you think For submitting these excellent articles and commentary, @paradigmprospect earns 5 SBD.

Each of these highlighted articles receives full upvotes and resteems from @thedailysneak. In addition, @thedailysneak sponsors featured writers for Steem Basic Income!

Submission Requirements

On to the submission requirements for The Daily Sneak:

  1. You can choose from 2 to 5 articles for your entry. Submissions with only one selected article will be ignored.
  2. All articles chosen for curation need to have been published within the last 5 days before your entry. It may take time for me to publish your curation, and curated articles need to be within the reward window when your submission is published.
  3. You cannot submit your own post for curation. Selections from nsfw will not be accepted. We also check for plagiarism and only highlight original content.
  4. Selected posts should have less than $50 in total rewards and have not previously been curated by The Daily Sneak.
  5. We try to spread the love around, so while selections from authors that have been highlighted before are welcome, they might not be included if the author's last inclusion was recent. Similarly, if you include two articles from the same author in one submission, we will typically highlight only one of the two.
  6. Be sure to include your personal bio for me to introduce you to readers, and make sure that each selection has commentary. This can be just a few sentences about why you think the selection is worth our attention, or what is great about it - something that will make people want to click through the headline and check out the actual article. English is preferred, but other languages will be considered as long as English translation is included.
  7. Please use this web form to submit your entry. https://goo.gl/forms/VH2MGIMEgqZmd9ef1
  8. Including image links to the source article is not required (and we prefer to leave some mystery if photography is highlighted and the article has only one photo.) However, we like to include images in The Daily Sneak, and not including any image links may decrease the likelihood of your submissions being published.

If you include more than 2 articles in your submission and not all are approved for publication, your submission may still be published into an edition of The Daily Sneak, as long as at least 2 articles are approved. This could happen for several different reasons. If you are unsure why an article was cut, please review the submission guidelines again. If you are still unsure, feel free to ask politely why it was cut.

Submission Reward

A brief biography of each guest curator will be included in the edition that uses their submission. In addition, each guest curator will receive 1 SBD for each article from their submission that is highlighted in The Daily Sneak. That's up to 5 SBD for each accepted submission!

Right now @thedailysneak's upvote is not worth as much as we are paying for guest curation. Why do we pay so much for guest curation? We believe that quality curation is very important to Steem. Paying our curators well encourages them to spend more time reviewing content and picking out the best pieces!
