Happy Independence Day Nigeria, the big waves curation started like a dream to empower Nigerian authors earn decently while authoring amazing contents.
It all started with a chat and an appointment and like a flash, five people were chosen to pioneer the change the Nigerian sub community so desperately needed.

We started out with a 30,000 SP delegation to the @onequality account for curation purposes, after which each curator was given and additional 18,000 SP delegation to support the curation.
The team which comprises of:

@donkeypong
@infovore
@fisteganos
@ehiboss
@ogoowinner
@gbenga
@destinysaid

Have been consistently catering for the needs of the Nigerian authors who now go home smiling at the end of the day.
The project created by @donkeypong and supported by @infovore and @hanshotfirst has been a huge success to the community.

The curators are tasked with locating posts within the #nigeria tag that are not guilty of plagiarism and fulfill all the conditions necessary for curation which will be discussed below.
The curators are also charged with protecting the Nigerian sub community from threats which may arise within the community.

Examples of such threats include, scammers, spammers, notorious plagiarists etc, while removing sentiments, partiality, personal issues and maintaining discipline, courtesy and accountability during post curation.

General team stats for last week

The Nigerian community has been on a steady, never ending increase in terms of population growth and the image above taken recently, further proves that fact.
The posts curated during the course of last week were in the thousands and it was evident in the blogs of several hardworking authors.

The selected posts were picked at random without any bias or nepotism, posts were screened for plagiaris before bieng curated. Although being human, we might sometime get err and submit a post for curation, but such posts are usually re-screened and dealt with.

Initially started by @ehiboss and @ogoowinner with the aim of recruiting, mentoring and guiding new Nigerian steemians towards excellence, has evolved to a more structured level.

The group now partners with several Nigerian and African sub communities like the steemitdotcom crew, the steemit virus, the lautech community, euronation and Africa unchained. We hope to get the support of redfish pillar and other top regulatory and amazing sub-communities.

The project now also features backing from @ausbitbank and some more seasoned members of the steemit community. We plan on getting more seasoned members of the community to join us and together, help structure a new generation of steemians towards excellence in the blogosphere and their various walks of life.
