The Tezos Foundation has launched its beta network, calling the move an “inflection point” for the project, according to an official statement June 30.

According to Tezos’ statement, the team has proposed the genesis block of their so-called ‘betanet,’ and transactions can be processed on the network. The Tezos team also stated that users can start validating blocks or ‘baking’ after the first seven cycles, which they estimate to be in about three weeks.

Several prominent exchanges have announced plans to increase their presence in new markets and locations, while a newly launched platform aims to rate them according to their liquidity, security, and volume. The weekly roundup also mentions a $300 million venture fund launched by Andreessen Horowitz, a new crypto vault offering safe storage in Switzerland, a patent promising to prevent the next Mt. Gox, and more.

🗞 Mainstream Media Believes Satoshi Nakamoto is Back

Should Satoshi Nakamoto ever return, it would probably be bad for bitcoin but great for clicks. The mainstream media (MSM) would have a field day, just as they did when they “identified” Craig Wright as bitcoin’s creator. The search for Satoshi and quest for clickbait intensified this week after Bloomberg asserted that bitcoin’s founder is back – and writing a book no less.

🗞 Bitcoin's Unknown 'Kings': The Magazine Mystery That's Got Crypto Guessing

Bitcoin may be global, but it's still a small community

This is why a recent Fast Company South Africa story attracted international commentary – and not in a good way. After all, it isn't every day that relative unknowns get touted as "Bitcoin Kings" on a magazine cover. Still, that's how the crypto world has been introduced to JT Foxx and Mao Lal.

STEEM Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion

Here is the chart of yesterday :

Here is the current chart :

We had a nice bounce on the STEEM, due mostly to the bounce on the BTC. We are now testing the previous TOP where I traced you a green line. If we are able to break that little resistance line around 1.36$, we will try to test the upper line at 1.50$ which is a most important resistance line. Let's see if we can break first the green line, because a new drop is not excluded in the direction of the 1$.
