Is facebook about to launch its own cryptocurrency ?

Facebook reports that it plans to launch its cryptocurrency, according to a report by Alex Heath .

There is not much detail at the moment, but the company is specifically targeting the use of cryptocurrency specifically to facilitate payouts on the platform, something that could be quite a dramatic change, given Facebook's huge user base and existing market section on the site for the purchase and sale of goods. It is also alleged that the company is also investigating other ways to mobilize the Token digital currency and its base block technology on its platform.

David Marcus, who earlier this week reported that he was leading a new blockchain devision on Facebook to explore how to make the best use of Blockchain on Facebook, starting from scratch.
