ICO of $ 39 million prefers Stellar to Ethereum

Mobius Network opts for the Stellar Lumens platform for its ICO instead of Ethereum. According to CEO David Gobaud, you can already compare Ethereum with AOL or Myspace. Up to now, Ethereum was by far the most popular platform for ICOs, but recent problems are causing companies like Mobius Network to look for alternatives.

Mobius Network recently announced an ICO to collect $ 39 million. It is one of the larger ICOs of the last few months. It is also by far the largest ICO ever on the platform of Stellar Lumens. Mobius Network only accepts Lumens (XLM) in exchange for the tokens it issues via the ICO, called Mobi.

Mobius is convinced that traditional technology companies will integrate crypto coins in the future and will switch to a decentralized web. Mobius wants to flourish like Stripe. Stripe made payment integration very easy just by writing a few lines of code. Stripe is one of the most popular, unlisted, technology startups.

Stellar is an undiscovered gem
The Mobius Team aims for the same type of payments using cryptocurrencies and for publishing data on decentralized marketplaces. Before that, Mobius needed an IoT-friendly network that could quickly trade large quantities of transactions and data with as little costs as possible. That was what stellar came for.

The project first started on the Ethereum platform, but the second largest cryptomunt in the world is struggling with problems. There are delays in the transactions due to the lack of scale and the costs vary a lot. Then Mobius Network switched to Stellar.

CEO David Gobaud said:

" We realized there was no way that could handle our technology. It was too slow, too expensive and too insecure. ... We see all these other projects with these immense problems "

According to Gobaud, Stellar is an undiscovered, underused and still unknown technology.
