Blockchain Technology Could Solve Fraud In Food Origins And Tomatoes Are Next In Line
There were negative news recently in Italy following the investigation which revealed a massive exploitation at tomato plantations in the south part of the country.
With this, Blockchain startups are now looking into adding immutability to Tomato's global supply chain.
By using Blockchain technology, people could prove that the tomatoes they buy are local, organic or grown by using standard practices, which merchants or suppliers claim it to be.
Through immutable tracking, the fruit's industry could soon gain a kind of reputation Blockchain has offered to agriculture and coffee industries.
Enigma Partners With KyberNetwork In Pushing Blockchain, Crypto-asset Adoption
In a recent press release, Enigma, a decentralized data marketplace announced a collabotation with KyberNetwork, a large digital asset exchange and payments processor.
Enigma has a product called “Catalyst” which is a machine-based trading infrastructure and investing platform for digital assets, and this is where the main focus of the partnership.
KyberNetwork will be integrated with Catalyst as an exchange service and at the same time a data provider.
Whereas Catalyst will be employed to provide support to the reserve operators on KyberNetwork.
This partnership will be Enigma's first step towards its goal to build a protocol which can support mass adoption of decentralized applications.
Both companies intends to revolutionize how data is used in making use of the Blockchain technology and realizing the potentiality of the Blockchain economy.
