Bitcoin Fever Reaches The Alaskan State
Alaska is known as the 'The Last Frontier' and is currently one of the states in the U.S. that adopts to the famous cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
Overstock, one of the most high-profiled companies that accepts crypto-payments reported that people living in Alaska made payments in cryptocurrency at a rate higher than that of any other U.S. state.
However, Banking and Securities regulators gave warning to people after hearing anecdotal news that there are brokers contacting residents to invest in initial coin offerings.
Regulators said people need to be careful on the products that they will invest into, especially when they involve young assets like Bitcoin.
A Japanese Major Entertainment Conglomerate Will Operate A Cryptocurrency Exchange
A major japanese entertainment conglomerate DMM is going to launch a cryptocurrency exchange this January.
DMM also operates an ecommerce platform which is widely used by over 27 million active members.
The exchange will be launched as DMM Bitcoin this January 10 and will accept applications locally from traders and investors starting in January 11.
DMM Bitcoin will support seven cryptocurrencies that can be traded, three currency pairs for spot trading and fourteen currency pairs for leveraged transactions.
