Bank Of America Was Awarded A Patent For A Cryptocurrency Exchange System
The US Patent and Trademark Office has recently awarded Bank of America, the 2nd largest bank in the US , a patent which outlines a potential cryptocurrency exchange system that can convert one cryptocurrency into another.
The system would be a potential 3-part system, where the first would be a customer's account and the other two would be for the business that runs the system.
The first account would be where a customer will store their chosen coins and the second account would act as a "float account" which would hold the coins the customer is selling.
The third account will be the one used to deposit the converted funds to the customer's account for withdrawal.
If BoA pursues this project, it would be offered to enterprise-level customers.
Japan's SBI Group Partners with Huobi To Launch A Cryptocurrency Exchange
Announced today, the Japanese financial services conglomerate SBI Group partners with Huobi to launch a cryptocurrency exchange early next year.
As Japan becomes a cryptocurrency haven ever since it considered Bitcoin legal as a currency, Huobi will be able to leverage their 4-year track in managing a trading system with this partnership.
Meanwhile, Japan is currently opening its gates for Bitcoin futures trading and Huobi is aiming to open exchanges in Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong.
Forty Five Artists Including Mariah Carey, G-Eazy, Fall Out Boy, Motorhead and Toby Keith Now Accepts Monero for Music Merchandise
Aside from Bitcoin, other altcoins are also gaining mainstream adoption and one of which is Monero.
Monero has recently revealed that they are providing a new online tool that will allow fans to purchase music merchandise from 45 artists including Mariah Carey, G-Eazy, Fall Out Boy, Motorhead and Toby Keith using the privacy-focused cryptocurrency, Monero.
The project was initiated by Monero's Project Coral Reef, in partnership with two music mehandising companies, GloBee and Manhead Merchandise & Global Merchandising Services.
The initiative will give discounts to customers, including 15% from Mariah Carey's store.
