CBOE Will Launch Bitcoin Futures Ahead Of Its Competitors This December
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) has announced today that its Cboe Futures Exchange (CFE) will be launched and will start to offer Bitcoin futures trading on December 10, 2017.
Going ahead of CME, which will launch Bitcoin futures on December 18, 2017, is a move to attract investors to its space over CME's.
In addition, the CBOE head announced that trading will be free throughout the month of December.
Also, the exchange holding company is hinting to add Bitcoin Cash futures to differentiate its offering from competitors, especially CME.
Financial Regulators In Israel Sees A Need To Adopt To Cryptocurrencies To Develop Global ICO Hub
The Israel Securities Authority (ISA) outgoing chairman Prof. Shmuel Hauser has seen the need for the country to accept cryptocurrency and ICO crowdfunding to create a global financial center based on ICOs.
In his last speech as the ISA head before the Israeli corporations conference, he said that with a team led by the head of the economist division and the chief economist, they are finding out if cryptocurrencies are under the terms of securities, (just) coins or a hybrid he calls security-coins.
He believes that cryptocurrencies and its offerings must be given favorable regulations to give way for the option to build an international financial center for security-coins from the type of ICOs.
If ever this is implemented, it is expected that a thousand initial coin offerings could be launched in Israel in 2018.
