The theme for Cook with Us #2 :

Three-Ingredient Dish

Welcome to Cook with Us #2. We are stepping up the pressure for this week. Your challenge is to make a Three-Ingredient Dish. That's right, a dish with only three ingredients. Together we'll discover and learn from each other the beauty of using a minimal number of ingredients to create tasteful dishes.
With so few choices of ingredients, it will be critical to pick the right ones. You are free to add seasonings, spices and fats or oils to your dish as they will not count towards the three. Some great examples of three-ingredient dishes are a Caprese salad (tomato, mozzarella and basil), a simple apple tart (puff pastry, apples and apple compote) or Potato "Anna" or Pomme Anna (potatoes, thyme and garlic).
When you make a dish with many ingredients, it is easier to hide mistakes and inferior quality ingredients. This week, with only three ingredients to use, every ingredient will be key to obtaining a successful dish.
When sharing your three-ingredient dish with us, please try to explain any ingredients or methods that are unique to the dish. We really want to know the story behind your dish too or maybe how you ended picking the recipe or ingredients. Consider these or any other relevant ideas when making your post. The more we can share with each other, the more we can learn.
We wish you good luck and look forward to your creativity!

Cook with us #2 Tortilla Espanola

Ingredientes:
2 huevos
1 papa mediana

A comerrr…..

I'm the opposite. Can't remember when I use more than 3 ingredients :D :D LOLOL love it easy! xoxo

·

I love omelettes, especially in Thailand. Something about the eggs there, they taste so much better than the ones here.

·
·
·

I'm surprised you feel that way. Maybe the method they cook? or maybe really about the eggs :D dunno.... hahaa

I’m Loving this competition, it’s so much fun!

·
·

@chefsteve I have a 3 ingredient dessert - biscuits, caramel and peppermint crisp chocolate to decorate - does cream count as an ingredient?

·
·
·

Your ingredients sound promising for a wonderful dessert. We would count cream as an ingredient. Thanks for asking and looking forward to your entry!

STUFFED CRAB

·

Looking forward to a valid entry from you. Hope it makes the deadline.

Very excited. Okay, so are things like chili, garlic and onion considered ingredients too? Or just "enhancers"?I saw that herbs, spices, oils, sugar and vanilla are good to go, but just wanted to make doubly sure. Thanks :)

·

Hi @playitagainjane! Thanks for asking. Garlic and onion would count towards ingredients. If you're using chili powder, that would not count as an ingredient. If it's chili peppers, that would count though.

Looking forward to your entry!

·
·
