Why I can not set the time to more than 30 days? 30 is far too little. At least 1 year should be possible :-)
At the end of last year I started a new community project, called Let's make a collage - A contest for all creatives on Steem.
In the recent issue of the contest I implemented @dPoll for the first time to let the community vote for the final winners from a shortlist of entries:

One of the great aspects of @dpoll is that it provides a mean for 1 account/1 vote based decision making in an otherwhise 1 SP/1 vote based environment. Despite all it's imperfections, there are cases (e.g. art contests) where a 1 account/1 vote logic seems more appropriate for decision making.
(In case that you consider my submission for one of your prizes, rather than rewarding my post I would kindly ask you to distribute the respective @sndbox upvote between the winners of the upcoming instance of the Let's make a collage - contest. That would be awesome, thank you!)
I just wanted to assess why DApps like magic-dice is gaining more popularity as a DApp on the top of steem blockchain. Mostly the gaming & gambling DApps are more popular regardless of which blockchain it is. But on steem blockchain what exactly attributes magic-dice to be so popular both in betting volume as well as number of active users. The Steem Blockchain has a very quick feel to it. While each transaction is kept on the blockchain forever, we all just seem to live in the moment, maybe not thinking more than within the 7 day payout window.
My project might change that idea, but I am curious to how well it would be received. I'm curious to whether people might put time into something that might not reward them short-term upvotes, but to be part of something the whole community might be excited about.

If you look at the last two years of development, then the development of blockchain technology has been mostly focused around either scalability or smart contract or modular blockchain or smart economy etc. Everyone claims something which relates to what the industries and commercial enterprises want. But can this be generalized to something specific when we talk about industries & commercial enterprises.

Sustainability is key for any dApp in steem ecosystem. It is good to see so many dApps building up but how sustainable they are in keeping the daily activity in their dApps & how consistent is the activity is something to consider. So that is put into dpoll today.
