Which type of blockchain technology the real world industries & commercial enterprises want ?

The talk of town is mostly centered around blockchain technology whenever the buzz is about application & implementation of blockchain in different real life use-cases. If you look at the last two years of development, then the development of blockchain technology has been mostly focused around either scalability or smart contract or modular blockchain or smart economy etc. Everyone claims something which relates to what the industries and commercial enterprises want. But can this be generalized to something specific when we talk about industries & commercial enterprises?
