New Month Message
Happy New Month to all parishioners of @Steemchurch. We are grateful to God who has in His favour and love qualified us to partake in the blessings in the month of July, 2017. It is necessary to note that we have crossed to the second half of the year.
This month is christened by @Sc-n as the Month of Manifestation. It is time to begin to roll out all the lofty projects we have been breeding ion the past months. It is time for each of us to take a step towards actualizing our dreams .
Remember that all of God's creations are in earnest wait for your manifestation. Many destinies are tied to your manifestation. Do not hold brief any longer.
Comment Engagement Contest #1
Just a few minutes ago, @Sirknight had made a call on Steemchurch Telegram channel asking parishioners to comment their favourite scripture based Quote. Only a few persons have yet participated so far. Thus, we are inspired to make this our first Contest tagged "Comment Engagement Contest".
The Essence of this contest is to awaken the spirit of engagement among parishioners of @Steemchurch. This is the best way to grow. Learning to make awesome comments will bring others' attention to your blog. Besides, we will be edifying one another with the Scriptural verse that will be shared.
Contest Guide
Simply make a comment under this post stating your favourite scripture and how it inspires and motivates you, then tag another parishioner you wish to take up from you. The tagged user is expected to comment under your own comment and the chain continues.

- Check whether you have been tagged before commenting. If tagged, ensure not to post directly to thios post, rather post under the comment you were tagged.
- Share only scriptures (in quote) and ensure that the Bible chapter and verse is mentioned.
- Tell us in a sentence how the verse motivates or became your favorite.

The verse do remind me constantly that God is omnipotent and thus knows all that is happening, and for that reason we are not supposed to panic when bad situation come about and go about blaming God for forsaking us, because he always have a bigger plan.

This is my favourite scripture in the Bible since it gives us reasons why we need to be watchful and live well while we wait for the second coming of our Lord Jesus christ.
Many people wonder why it has taken so long for Christ to return after it has been said many times that "He is coming soon".
Some people tend to believe that the bible is a total deception or just a mere prediction by men because Jesus has still not come after it has been said that he is coming soon.
God lives in eternity and He is not bound by our time, a thousand years is like a day before God and day a like thousand years which means eternity is entirely different from our time. Jesus coming soon simply mean it is something that is going to happen suddenly in God's own time.
This scripture helps us to understand that God is not slack concerning his promises but suffers long so that all may come into repentence before the Messiah comes again.
From the scripture we are made aware that the coming of the Lord will take place at the time we least expect and so vigilance is a must for all.
The Lord will come as a thief comes in the night.
Since the day and the hour of the Lord's coming is unknown and will take us by surprise then we ought to be holy and live a life that is pleasing to the Lord.
I believe this is a scripture every believer must read from time to time as we all prepare for the Lord's coming. I also believe that anything which has to do with our salvation and how we can prepare ourselves adequately for the second coming of Jesus Christ must be our priority and that is why I love this scripture so much.

I love this passage because it always reminds me that I need to hussle regardless of the fact that I have faith in God and that He is capable of changing my life situations.

Life is full of worries and hustle such that one may end up been worried about issues a lot during the 24 hours of the day, and during those times, this verse reminds me that, God has got my back and that i should not let the pressure of life overwhelm. It is well with my soul.
