Thanks @ossyjay for this great game.

I cant say if am old timer or a newbie 😂
I got to know of steemit through @lordidama1 in a telegram group early this while learning bitcoin trading. I then took interest since it was i was not going to use cash 😛. Did my first registration but did not get the email with the link to finish up my sign up. So i had to create another account through the help of @Lordidama1
I was skeptical about the platform and thinking it was one of the many ponzi schemes all around especially in Nigeria my country when early last year i lost some cash to it.
I got verified, started writing and within a week i withdrew 10 dollar worth of ethereum to my binance account by just writing. It was a wow experience as i made effort to meet great people like @ayobami99 who tutored me on what normally caused band limit and all that and also @molokwu who gave me 1sbd for a suggestion i made on a whatsapp group.
I got trilled that i reduced my post on Facebook to put it where i can get some cash 🤑 writing.
Am Just two weeks old and i really love the steemit because
1 my first withdrawal arrived before 20 minutes time.
2 no longer wasting my time on faucets and fake cloud mining.
3 on this platform, i am learning and earning.

My best feeling is the time that I have won my first steemit contest. I participate in Welcoming the new year held by @anomadsoul. And in the winning post there was my name mentioned with one of the photos of my article. Wow, what a feeling! And that was my mostly paid article.

Winning a contest is always a very amazing feeling, congratulations! @mashiliyanage

Awesome!!
Soooo, I sat listening to my sisters, @cristinamuah, Steemit talk for a couple weeks before taking the plunge. I didnt, and still really dont, understand anything crypto. It was an amazing concept, earn money for your thoughts, but one I couldnt quite wrap my head around. I used to, in my teenage years, write poetry. I loved doing it so much as a way to let out all those feelings that go on in all teenagers lives! On one of our many moves, I lost everything. Every journal, book, picture, everything. It broke my heart to lose all those memories, as sad and painful as some were. I was always able to look back through those books and see where I came from.... sooo I quit writing. Fast forward to almost a month ago. I decided I was gonna give this Steemit thing a try. The whole process of opening the account was kind of strange... a lot more difficult than facebook! But I did it! Patting myself on my back When writing my #introduceyourself post, I realized what I had been missing all these years. I cried writing the whole thing, hell Im crying writing this now! LOL Even though my life is so much better now and Im beyond happy, I cried because I had lost myself for so many years. Oh, what would I be if I had just kept on, where would I be. But thats kind of the beauty in life, if things were to go different, I wouldnt have my beautiful life I have now, with my wonderful husband and sweet baby girl. I havent written a whole bunch of personal post yet, as it really takes me hours to do so and I have a hyper 3 year old to take care of! But the ones I have, mean everything to me and to know that people understood what I was saying enough to take time out and read, upvote and comment on such post makes my heart so very happy! Steemit brought back my writing that I had no idea I missed so much!

Steemit really is doing a lot for us all. I'm so excited for you dear! @smylie2005 baby steps, but you're writing again! That's really great and just like a missing part of a puzzle, your life will definitely have more meaning now. Your beautiful family will get to see more of their writer in action :)
Thanks so much for sharing!

For sure! Thank you guys for always trying to help out the smaller guys! :)

I remembered when i joined steemit,i was excited about writing my first post having heard a lot about it. Then after writing that very long post,i got few upvote,i was like what happened?maybe they don't like my post.Lol,i started getting discouraged as time went on. One day, i told myself that i was going to quit. Then i stumbled on #newbieresteemday initiative and Whola! I am still here..Lol. Nice one @ossyjay.

And once again #newbieresteemday saves the day! I'm glad that our platform is serving it's purpose.
Thanks for sharing and keep on steeming! @gracefavour

You are very much welcome.

My first feeling? Oh my! That was awesome. I was born when the #newbieresteemday is running. Before i registered, i already had a little background of steemit because of @ayingroxie, a great friend if mine.

Nice game ossjay. Its always wonderful to reminisce the first impression.

Thanks for sharing! @leebaong #newbieresteemday brought a whole lot of us out. I'm glad that it did same for you too!

I could remember the time came to steemit I was a novice and made a lot of mistake which include I did not copy my password or store it ,there after was logged out ,it really dawn on that my steem account was lost and needed to open another.when open another account I posted pictures and articles but mostly time a used a wrong tag ,it slow down my chances of getting any steem dollar.however, realized there a problem with my post and asked a follow steemian to access my work and she found my picture and my tag where wrong,I was very Devastated all work has futile and I never gave up.when I came to steemit heard about sirknight and steemchurch how they bless people with steemdollar,I have never won 1steem dollar but trying best especially when it come to celestial challenge. Thank you for a wonderful but stressful adventure and made realize you got to hustle in life. Much love @peterjames

Haha! a lot of people do make that mistake trust me. I wonder what steps did you take to prevent it from happening again. I backed up my password on my email and i suggest you try that out too. Tagging is also a frequently encountered problem among newbies. I'm working on something soon for that so jes keep checking in with #newbieresteemday we have something brewing for you
Thanks for sharing! @peterjames

The best feeling I have had on Steemit followed the worst feeling I had. The other day I decided to send 0.04sbd to the @earthnation-bot to help me grow. I entered the amount of the transfer and checked it read 0.04 but when I pressed send nothing happened. So I pressed send again and suddenly my entire amount of sbd that I owned was transferred to the bot. A whole 7.04sbd. Now that may not sound like much to some people but to me it’s a lot. I felt physically sick that this had happened. I asked @davemccoy for help on discord and he gave me some advice and told me he had my back. It felt great to have someone who I had never met in person and who was in another country who was willing to help me get this sorted out. I then noticed that @davemccoy had written to @earthnation-bot telling them what had happened and asking them to return my sbd. I never thought that there were people out there in the Ether who actually cared enough to help me so much. This morning I awoke and checked my wallet and the sbd was back in my account. It was such a huge feeling of relief and made me feel like doing something like this for someone in the future. Being kind is contagious and I certainly intend to pay it forward in the future. Basically this kind of selflessness on Steemit makes the world a better place, at least in this instance.

Very happy you got the SBD back! that was kind of @davemccoy to help out like that and also @earthnation-bot did good to return it. You're one lucky man! And 7.04 SBD does sound like much haha! atleast to me. I can't imagine how badly you must have felt. And also how good you felt this morning! :D
Thanks for sharing man! @markkennard

Thanks for your comment @ossyjay. I hope you liked the post. Emotions from one extreme to the other

This attitude of selflessness, paying-it-forward, and helping one another warms me to my toes! It so jives with how I live my life. Being able to meet folks of like-mind who aren't just "talking" but "doing"! Thank you again Mr.@Mccoy for all you do for this community!

I have posted just one post as of entering this contest. I have been lurking around the community for about a month and I have gained a lot from people here on steemit.
Oh, the knowledge I have gained from #celestialchallenge, #steemstem and so many other tags, The people I have met and learnt so much from @ced000, @omonosa, @owoblow-steemit, @bartcardi and so many more. Steemit is a community and in my opinion, the value of STEEM is not its monetary strength but it's awesome community.
In order to strike the balance, We also get write articles, participate in contests and get STEEM for just being creative. My first post so far had earned about $3.52 and I am thrilled at the response I got when I expected to get about $0.5 on my first post. I have been working on my second post since after receiving much motivation from the first post.
It has been an awesome experience so far.
Steemit, my new love.

I'm happy you like it here @mechanicalpip and I know that with some consistency, it will get more rewarding
keep interacting, keep learning (we never stop doing that) and keep on steeming!

Thank you for this opportunity @ossyjay. Well when i joined steemit, i was thrilled at the prospect of sharpening my writing skills and so i wrote my first post.Although i didn't get much upvotes, the comments gotten was enough to fuel my drive being appreciated. I would say as a newbie i still find it difficult to understand and carry out certain tasks but with the help of folks like @omonosa @ced000 @owoblow-steemit and @jaff8,i am getting to understand and love this community better and with each passing day get to learn new things from others as well as develop myself. Thanks to steemit for awakening a new gift inside of me

Steemit sure brings out the best in people! You should check out #newbieresteemday and use it as a tag in any of your posts. It was created specifically for newbies. The purpose of the platform is to help resteem the post of newbies and give their posts more publicity. Also try to get involved with more people, give comments and interact and soon your circle of friends would be a lot bigger than it already is. Thanks for sharing!

wow i love this
My experience as a newbie on steemit is really something I need to share. I remember the first day the I was introduced to steemit I was waw this will be in very interesting cause I was seeing upvotes of different steemit members but I never knew I need to work had and have quality post to have high upvote.
My first introduction post wasn't easy as well until my friend @hboi put me through then it became easy for me thanks @hboi once again. Then I waited for high upvote to my surprise I didn't have rather I was have alot of good comments on my introduction post but I never gave up thank GOD My Other Post Is going well .

Really good to know that you're growing with steemit! you know it's the same thing almost all newbies go through. It's good that you had a guide to do your introduction post. Some newbies aren't so fortunate and some of them have no guide at all! However, the steemit platform will always promote good, original content. The old timers do try their best to encourage the newbies that keep pouring in by the day.
Very good of you to share! @fredoski
