Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Please make sure to add a proper description to your entry as this was the reason on few occasions when I could not pick the best image as it had a very poor description. Only one picture to be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.

The winner of a daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 15 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 150 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday, Australian Monday, Tuesday of Antarctica and world's oceans, African Wednesday, European Thursday and North American Friday to give them your support if you like their image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. Life, Food, Adventure - Water is the elixir of life!

The world oceans feed people, they connect people, they can be peaceful and dangerous at once. Today we can even generate energy by tidal forces or wave energy power plants.
The fishermen look so peaceful during the sunset at the beach in Tarifa, Spain. It's the Atlantic coastline where the image was taken.

@axeman African Wednesday entry:

Having photography in blood, even on vacation it is very hard to sleep well in the morning, having in mind new location/new view which can be fixed by your camera. This shot is taken early morning on sunrise at Hurghada, Egypt with long telephoto lens to compress the perspective and the rising sun too look large and beautiful.

I call this photo Old Meets New. This was taken along the edge of Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, a fortress built in the 16th Century. From this historic castle, you can see a beautiful view of the modern skyline of Cartagena, Colombia. I find it a lovely blending of history moving towards the future.

What a contrast! Excellent documentary shot ;)

Thank you so much!

Fabulous image! You never disappoint.

Me having fun in the Caribbean Sea on an isolated beach near Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, on the last day of my vacation there in September 2017. I will always remember the magical atmosphere of that night, the sunset was so beautiful! Costa Rica definitely stole my heart :)

I love your photo! Such beautiful shades of blue!

Thanks Matt. Yeah, it was like fifty shades of blue that night :D

Amazing pic! Thank you for your participation. Tomas

For today's contest I would like to enter one of my favourite photos from Cuba. I have also published an extensive photo documentary about Havana in my blog featuring this photo and many more: https://steemit.com/travel/@jpphotography/havana-cuba-two-faces-of-a-city-a-photo-documentary

This photo was taken in my first day in Havana, Cuba. I instantly fell in love with the city in between decay and revolution that never fails to impress with its colourful classic cars and facades.

Nice shot and great article - I can confirm it is still 100% accurate! :)

Beautiful shot and incredible post about Havana. It's a city I would love to visit soon! But I think Cuba is part of North America, not South America.

Thank you! Your photo is also great, as usual! I asked Tomas last week and he said that he would considers Central America and the Caribbean to belong to the South American contest rather than the North American and it makes sense if you see it culture-wise instead of geographically..

Thanks for the info! That's good to know. I've been posting those in North America. But I agree, culturally it makes sense to include with South America. And again, your shot is incredible!

Hi Matt, I confirm what Julian said. I also asked Tomas about what contests I should submit my Caribbean / Latin American photos and he said South America. I know it is not correct from the geographical point of view but culturally, these places belong more to South America. I personally submit only photos from US to the North American conest :) I would also include Canada of course, but havent been there yet :)

Yet another beautiful image from you!

A view of the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The photo was taken at the north of the city and it shows the view towards the south. Caracas is a valley located between 800-900 meters above sea level. This type of sky is typical for many months during the year.

Thank you so much for your great entry!

Cartagena in Columbia remained in my memory as a yellow city and a place with nice beach part. I liked the colors of nature which mixed in the picture - blue, green and yellow a bit. It was an adventurous and interesting walk!

Thank you so much for your submission. Please stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon.

Hello Sr Tomas,
This is a beautiful view of the miraculous sunrise over the Caquetá River, located in the region of the Colombian Amazon. Photo taken from the boat in moving.

I would like to nominate one of my photos from South America. I have a lot of them. It's hard to choose what you guys like. I will show you Machu Picchu photo in Peru, which i believe is not so often taken from this angle. Južna Amerika (Bolivija, Peru, Čile) 071-1.JPG We can see terases and ancient houses. Beautiful mountains and nature.

Hi! Thank you so much for your participation. Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon. Tomas

El Perito Moreno Glacier is on the Argentina side in Patagonia and well worth the day trip from El Calafate. Watching and hearing the massive ice break off into the water is incredible. Easily a favorite during our visit to the area.

Very impressive. Thank you so much for your participation. Tomas

This photo was taken in Costa Rica. So welcome on Playa Cocles - paradise for surfers. Its located between Puerto Viejo and Punta Uva. Definitely another beautiful place in the Caribbean coast.

Looks like a cool place! Thank you for sharing.

Icewalking, Perito Moreno glacier, Argentina

The Perito Moreno glacier in Patagonia is one of the most awesome sights I’ve ever seen. It is the only glacier in the world that is not retreating. Trekking across the icy surface is like being transported to a different planet. The tiny figures towards the right hand side of the frame give you a sense of the sheer scale of it.

What an experience this must have been. Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas

It was amazing :) thanks for the support and look forward to participating in future rounds
