I would love to once again share with you some of the best pictures of the past few days that were submitted to my daily photo sharing contest where your fellow Steemians submit their personal images from their visit to Prague or other locations around the country. I then upvote their entry as a token of my appreciation. This is what I call the power of Steemit! I do not remember the last time I purchased a photograph beside the professional images I use from the Shutterstock. Now I just give money away each and every day and it is actually a fun thing to do and it does not hurt at all😊….. I took this magical shot of sunset in a park on my trip to Brno, the second largest city of the Czech Republic last winter :) Every part of the year has its charm and unique atmosphere in this beautiful country that I am happy to call my home.

Cathedral of Saint Barbara, patroness of miners. The construction of the temple took more than 500 years. The church resembles the St. Vitus Cathedral on the Prague Castle, since both were created by masters of the same architectural school. Indeed, much similar in architecture, but still they are different. In addition to the basic details, St. Barbara's temple is also distinguished by the original chasers with a hammer and an apron.

The monument to Jan Hus, a Czech reformer, for his criticism of the Catholic Church was declared a heretic and burned at the stake. The monument appeared on this place 500 years later.
